PetroRio Launches Web Series That Showcases The Importance Of Oil Playfully In Episodes On YouTube

The goal of PetroRio in launching the web series “Little Experts” is to show playfully, in weekly episodes on the company’s YouTube channel (https://bit.ly/PetroRioPequenosEspecialistas), the relevance of oil in our society, since, although it is very present in everyday life, not everyone understands its importance.

Produced in partnership with Agência Rastro, the web series features four episodes that dive into the world of oil and gas, sparking curiosity through the most questioning beings, children. Starting with the spontaneity of the little experts, the intention is for the audience to get to know PetroRio’s business, the exploration and production of oil, become familiar with industry terms, and demystify the activity.

The name of the web series “Little Experts” suggests a playful twist, as it positions children as experts (a role typically occupied by adults). They bring a fun and spontaneous tone to the content. After all, they are masters when it comes to imagination.

The content strategy adopted addresses the relevance of oil in daily life, a topic that is rarely debated by people not directly involved with this industry. And, attracted by creative content and captivating aesthetics, viewers will also be able to learn more about PetroRio’s area of operation.

In times of pandemic, entertainment content can help parents be closer to their children and the vocabulary and work routine of the oil and gas industry. “Little Experts” is an alternative to talk about the world’s primary energy source with children and, why not, with adults?

In Detail

The casting was conducted with children aged 8 to 11, selected for being diverse, talkative, and outgoing. In addition to the children, each episode features a professional from PetroRio.

1st episode – “What Are Things Made Of?” – Special guest Nelson Queiroz Tanure, Chairman of the Board of Directors of PetroRio. Explores the importance of oil in daily life through objects made from the material.

3rd episode – “Who Came First: Oil or Dinosaurs?” – Special guest Patrícia Balla, Operations Coordinator. Takes a time travel trip to discover the origin of the material that drives the world.

4th episode – “What Do We Become When We Grow Up?” – Special guest Fernanda Martins, Human Resources Analyst. Investigates the careers involved in the oil industry.
