Initially, the replacement of equipment was scheduled to take place in a staggered manner over the ten years of the project – until 2027. Furthermore, it could be anticipated thanks to the partnership with WEG, a global company of electrical and electronic equipment and clean energy, which acted with agility in the delivery of equipment.
The partnership between WEG and CTG Brasil benefits several operations of the clean energy generator
In addition to supplying power transformers to Ilha Solteira, WEG has recently supplied equipment for improvements in the Salto Grande, Rosana, Taquaruçu and Garibaldi plants in terms of clean energy, all managed by CTG Brasil. There is still one more delivery of the partnership scheduled for July, destined for the Small Hydroelectric Plant (PCH) Retiro. CTG Brasil is moving forward with its modernization schedule for the Jupiá and Ilha Solteira hydroelectric plants. Those that also involve other equipment, such as turbines and power plant generators.
Therefore, according to Vasconcelos, “this process is essential for us to contribute to the development of the country based on the quality and safety of generating electricity in a 100% clean and renewable way, an essential activity for the functioning of Brazil. Similarly, it is also important to emphasize that, in this pandemic period, all work has been carried out in accordance with the recommendations of the health authorities, in respect for the lives of our employees, partners and society as a whole”.
