New 250 cc Trail Bets on Powerful Engine, 6-Speed Transmission, and Advanced Technology Package to Compete with Established Models in the Brazilian Market, Arriving with Aggressive Pricing and Exclusive Network Strategy.
Shineray confirmed the arrival of the SBM 250 Trail 2026 in the Brazilian market at the beginning of next year, with a suggested price of R$ 24,990.
The model, positioned in the mixed-use segment, bets on above-average mechanical features for the 250/300 cc range, with a DOHC single-cylinder engine, liquid cooling, and 31 hp at 9,000 rpm, in addition to 25.5 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm and a 6-speed transmission.
The proposal is to directly compete with the Yamaha Lander 250 and Honda Sahara 300, offering more complete technical content and electronics.

Positioning, Price, and Arrival in Stores
According to the Brazilian subsidiary, the SBM 250 Trail will be sold under the new SBM brand, dedicated to Shineray’s “premium” line, and will begin distribution in early 2026.

The price of R$ 24,990 targets an entry-level range for medium trails, with a strategy to deliver components typically seen in higher categories, maintaining competitive costs on the shelf.
The brand also announces a plan for exclusive SBM dealerships, with showrooms, authorized service, and its own spare parts stock to support after-sales.
Engine and Performance: Focus on Power
The engine, a liquid-cooled DOHC single-cylinder, stands out technologically and is distinguished by its dual-valve timing—a rarely seen solution in this displacement range in Brazil.
The official figures of 31 hp and 25.5 Nm surpass its direct rivals.
For comparison, the Honda Sahara 300 claims 25.2 hp at 7,500 rpm (ethanol) and 24.8 hp (gasoline), with torque of up to 26.9 Nm, while the Yamaha Lander 250 delivers 20.9 hp and torque of 2.1 kgf.m.
In this context, Shineray’s new trail emerges with performance designed for highways and light dirt roads, also utilizing the 6-speed transmission to stretch gears during cruising sections.
Chassis: Inverted Suspension and 19″/17″ Wheels
In terms of the chassis, the SBM 250 adopts inverted front suspension (USD), a feature valued for its greater stiffness and ability to absorb irregular surfaces.

At the rear, there is a monoshock configured for comfort in mixed-use.
The configuration of spoked wheels with a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear prioritizes urban versatility without sacrificing off-road capability, as the larger front diameter helps to overcome potholes and ditches.
To stop the bike, the system of disk brakes on both wheels with two-channel ABS serves as standard safety equipment.
Equipment and Ergonomics: LED and Digital Panel
Among the features, the model comes factory-equipped with full LED lighting for headlight, taillight, and turn signals, as well as a 100% digital LCD panel.
The ergonomics are defined by 850 mm seat height and 280 mm ground clearance, a combination that favors riding in urban areas with higher bumps and ditches and allows for tackling dirt sections.
With a 13-liter tank and dry weight of 130 kg, the trail aims to combine adequate range in its displacement with ease of handling at low speeds, useful for maneuvers and light trails.
Dimensions and Technical Data
According to the disclosed information, the SBM 250 2026 has a wheelbase of 1,280 mm, length of 2,050 mm, width of 870 mm, and total height of 1,250 mm.
The technical list also includes electronic fuel injection, electric start, and a complete panel with clear readings for everyday use.

The dimensions package indicates a balanced proposal between agility in the city and stability on asphalt, without sacrificing ground clearance that is important for those alternating routine with dirt paths.
Network and Strategy: New SBM Division
SBM (Shineray Brazil Motors) is the brand’s line of higher content and finish products in the country.
The proposed strategy involves exclusive stores, a unique visual identity, and dedicated after-sales, with availability of parts and attention to technical training.
In 2025, the company detailed that the SBM family would include six models between 250 cc and 600 cc, including the new trail.
The investment in network and portfolio aims to reposition Shineray, expanding reach in a niche with higher technological and finishing demands.
Direct Rivalry: Where the SBM 250 Wants to Compete
In the showcase, the most immediate comparison falls on Yamaha Lander 250 and Honda Sahara 300.
The Lander, with 20.9 hp, is recognized for its robustness and simple maintenance, but it still has a 5-speed transmission and more basic electronics.
The Sahara, on the other hand, adds 6 speeds, ABS, full panel, and full LED, in addition to output close to 25 hp.

Arriving with 31 hp, two-channel ABS, and USD front suspension for R$ 24,990, the SBM 250 positions itself as a more technically advanced alternative for the entry-level price of rivals, at least on paper.
The official numbers of Honda and the consolidated data from Lander help to frame this scenario.
What to Watch Until Sales Begin
With the launch scheduled for 2026, practical points still deserve consumer attention: availability of parts, the outreach of the exclusive network, and possible fine adjustments to suspension and injection calibration in the production unit.
The strategy for dedicated after-sales is crucial to support the value proposition in everyday situations, especially for those who plan to use the motorcycle for daily urban commuting and short trips.
The confirmation of the final specifications in the launch material and in the official technical sheets of the dealerships will be crucial to consolidate the cost-benefit analysis compared to segment leaders.
Based on these technical credentials and the announced price, Shineray’s new trail has the potential to gain traction between urban use and light adventures; in your opinion, what matters most in the choice of a 250/300 cc trail today: a stronger engine, equipment, or network/after-sales?
