Mercedes-Benz GLK 350 4Matic 2013: Luxury SUV with a V6 Engine, 306 HP, All-Wheel Drive, and Premium Comfort Now Costs Around R$ 90,000.

When launched in Brazil, the Mercedes-Benz GLK 350 4Matic 2013 symbolized the peak of German engineering applied to medium SUVs. Elegant, solid, and imposing, it directly competed with the Audi Q5 and BMW X3, offering more power, comfort, and technology. Today, more than a decade later, the same car that cost R$ 270,000 at launch can be found in the used market for around R$ 90,000, becoming one of the best value for money among premium SUVs available in the country.

The SUV that Consolidated Mercedes’ Luxury in Brazil

Built on the W204 platform, the same as the C-Class, the GLK 350 arrived in Brazil in 2009 and quickly stood out for its structural rigidity and comfort typical of Mercedes.

The 2013 lineup was one of the most refined of the first generation, featuring the 3.5 V6 24V engine from the BlueEFFICIENCY family, capable of delivering 306 HP and 35.7 kgfm of torque, combined with the automatic transmission 7G-Tronic Plus with 7 gears.

With permanent all-wheel drive 4Matic, the model ensures stability and safety on any type of terrain, automatically distributing power between the axles according to grip. Even weighing nearly 1,900 kg, the SUV accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 238 km/h.

Performance and Comfort of an Executive Car

The GLK 350 4Matic 2013 is the typical car that combines sporty power with high-level comfort. The steering is electric, precise, and progressive, and the independent suspension on all four wheels offers a perfect balance between stability and smoothness, something that few modern SUVs can replicate.

Inside, the finish is worthy of a luxury sedan. Genuine leather on all surfaces, brushed aluminum accents, and the classic vertical dashboard reinforce the feeling of solidity and tradition of the brand. The silence on board is remarkable, even at high speeds, thanks to enhanced acoustic insulation and the use of premium materials.

Technology and Safety Ahead of Its Time

The GLK 350 2013 came equipped with 8 airbags, electronic stability controls (ESP), and traction control (ASR), as well as ventilated disc brakes on all four wheels with ABS, EBD, and BAS (emergency brake assistant).

Among the comfort highlights, the SUV offered dual zone digital climate control, electric front seats with memory and heating, electric trunk, rain sensor, panoramic sunroof, downhill assist, and a Harman Kardon sound system with 11 speakers and a dedicated amplifier.

The central dashboard featured the COMAND APS multimedia system, with a color display, built-in GPS, and joystick controls. The set also included front and rear parking sensors, cruise control (Tempomat), and electronically folding mirrors.

Fuel Consumption and Maintenance

Naturally, fuel consumption is not the strong suit of an aspirated V6. According to Inmetro, the GLK 350 achieves 6.2 km/l in the city and up to 9.5 km/l on the highway with gasoline. The 66-liter tank ensures good range, but the refueling cost reflects the size of the vehicle.

In terms of maintenance, it is a car that requires care, but it is not a villain, as long as a good specimen is chosen. The 7G-Tronic transmission is known for its durability when maintained with regular oil changes.

The V6 engine is extremely reliable, with a timing chain (no timing belt required) and a history of low incidence of major failures.

Parts and components are relatively easy to find from importers and specialized shops, as the same engine equips other Mercedes models. According to workshops in São Paulo and Curitiba, a complete preventive maintenance costs around R$ 2,500 to R$ 3,000, which is considered reasonable for a premium SUV.

The Price Dropped, but the Prestige Remained

The GLK 350 is an example of how the used market can offer luxury cars at the price of a national mid-range SUV. A well-maintained model, with up-to-date maintenance and a history of provenance, can be purchased today between R$ 85,000 and R$ 95,000, according to the FIPE Table for October 2025.

In 2013, the same car cost R$ 270,000, nearly the price of an apartment in medium-sized cities. Today, it is worth less than a new 1.0 turbo SUV, but still delivers much more comfort, technology, and power.

An SUV That Aged with Class

Even after 12 years, the design of the GLK remains imposing. The square lines and robust stance give it a sense of solidity that is rare in today’s SUVs.

The high hood, chrome grille, and the three-pointed star emblem in the center still attract attention wherever it goes.

The timeless aesthetics, combined with the performance and reliability of the mechanical set, make the GLK 350 4Matic 2013 one of the best choices among used luxury SUVs. It is a car that has aged with dignity, continuing to offer the same feeling of power, comfort, and safety that made it renowned over a decade ago.
