Jaecoo 7 accumulates global awards like Car of the Year and reinforces Omoda & Jaecoo’s hybrid strategy in 64 markets. The brand seeks emotional connection with the public by supporting exclusive experiences in one of the most desired destinations in Brazil

OMODA & JAECOO celebrates numerous recognitions on behalf of its global SUV: the Jaecoo 7. The model has consistently accumulated important international recognitions such as Car of the Year, Best Family Car, and User’s Choice, among other honorable mentions, thanks to its outstanding performance in technology, design, user experience, and cost-effectiveness.

At the end of this year, in light of the global scenario of developing multiple technological routes in new energies, the achievements reinforce OMODA & JAECOO’s world-class standard in the development and manufacturing of vehicles, meeting diverse and rigorous regionalized processes around the world.

Jaecoo 7 wins awards in Europe and validates performance in demanding automotive markets

In one of the most mature and demanding automotive environments in the world, Europe, the product strength of the Jaecoo 7 is widely consolidated, according to reference entities.

In the United Kingdom, the model has been consecutively awarded by traditional industry organizations, winning the titles of:

• Car of the Year
• Best Family Car of the Year

The British market imposes especially high standards for family vehicles, with evaluation systems that prioritize safety, comfort, as well as consistency and stability of autonomy on long-distance trips. In this context, the J7 SHS-P demonstrated clear advantages in different testing scenarios, supported by a stable and efficient hybrid system, smooth driving comparable to 100% electric vehicles, and a spacious and quiet cabin. The model precisely balances the demands of family travel and daily use, establishing itself, for local judges, as a reference hybrid SUV due to its combination of practicality and quality.

In the Czech Republic, the Jaecoo 7 took first place in the SUV category in an evaluation conducted by FLEET Magazine. The award has a special focus on corporate clients and fleet operators, with criteria aimed at long-term reliability, energy efficiency, and total cost of operation, attributes that reinforce the positioning and practical value of the model in the European market.

The recognition obtained in different European countries and under multiple evaluation perspectives builds a solid and comprehensive endorsement of the product strength, validating its consistent performance and its broad adaptability in high-standard markets.

Jaecoo 7 stands out in Southeast Asia with PHEV hybrid technology and energy efficiency

In Southeast Asia, the routine of frequent urban travel and the still uneven distribution of charging infrastructure make PHEV plug-in hybrid vehicles, which combine the experience of 100% electric driving with greater autonomy, a more practical technological choice. It is precisely in this context of real use that the J7 SHS-P has been concentrating important recognitions in the region’s markets.

In Thailand, the Jaecoo 7 was named “THE Best SUV PHEV in 2025,” an award that evaluates the comprehensive advantages of plug-in hybrid models in energy efficiency, practicality in daily life, and overall product value. The ability to operate in fully electric mode in urban routes, combined with the stability of the hybrid system on long-distance trips, precisely meets the needs of local consumers.

Meanwhile, in the Malaysian market, the J7 stood out for its overall performance and was recognized with awards such as “Car of the Year 2025 – People’s Choice Award” and “Best Mid-Range SUV.” Distinctions based on direct user voting and market feedback reinforce the model’s competitiveness in the region, uniting technical solidity and strong public acceptance.

From technical scrutiny to consumer choice, the multiple awards won in Thailand and Malaysia reflect the competitiveness of O&J’s PHEV across different technological routes of motoring and its high adaptability to the diverse mobility demands of Southeast Asia.

Brazil: award reinforces hybrid efficiency in complex road conditions

The diversity of driving conditions, high usage intensity, and long vehicle life cycles in Latin America make the stability of energy consumption and the reliability of the powertrain over time central factors in market evaluations. Compared to single-motorization solutions, hybrid technologies capable of maintaining consistent efficiency under different road conditions tend to gain greater regional recognition.

In Brazil, the J7 SHS-P won the “Intermediate Hybrid Car” award from L’Auto Preferita, which considers the opinion of around 30 specialized journalists. The evaluation takes into account the overall performance of medium hybrid SUVs in real-world conditions, with a special focus on stability and energy efficiency of the powertrain under prolonged and high-load regimes.

The high hybrid efficiency and the ability to maintain consistent performance made the J7 SHS-P stand out among competitors, ensuring recognition from the local specialized press. The award reinforces the model’s adaptability to complex and intensive road scenarios, as well as highlighting the long-term value of its hybrid technology in real applications in the Latin American market.

Global strategy of Omoda & Jaecoo strengthens competitiveness of Jaecoo 7 in the SUV market

In an increasingly diversified global environment of new energies, the Jaecoo 7 continues to strengthen its competitiveness in the global SUV segment through a coordinated strategy that encompasses multiple technological routes of motoring.

Even in the face of rigorous evaluation systems in mature markets, or in adapting to complex usage environments in emerging markets, the J7 line has gained recognition from both specialized institutions and users, supported by the appropriate choice of powertrains and consistent product performance.

With the support of SHS hybrid technology, the Jaecoo 7 has not only consolidated its technological presence in the hybrid universe but has also continuously elevated its added value and the competitive positioning of the brand in the global scenario, through the consistent delivery of platform-based capabilities.

In July 2025, the Chery Group, the company that owns the OMODA & JAECOO brand, reached the 233rd position in the Fortune Global 500 ranking, with accumulated exports exceeding 5 million vehicles, achieving the so-called “Double 500” milestone and signaling a significant advance in its globalization strategy.

OMODA & JAECOO adopts the brand vision of “Co-creating a better life with the youth.” While Omoda aims to establish itself as the leading global crossover brand, Jaecoo follows the philosophy “From the classic and beyond the classic,” focusing on building a global elegant off-road brand, establishing differentiated competitiveness through these two strategic fronts.

From this positioning, OMODA & JAECOO demonstrated strong growth momentum in the European market in 2025, becoming the fastest-growing automotive brand in the region. In the new energy vehicle segment, supported by SHS technology, a global reference, the brand concentrates its efforts on the concept of NEV Super Performance, Super Range, Super Efficiency, and Super Safety, offering efficient electric mobility solutions to consumers around the world and consistently advancing towards the goal of becoming the number one hybrid brand in the world.
