Company Invests in Expanding Its Product Portfolio for the Solar Energy Sector, with State-of-the-Art Photovoltaic Equipment and Attractive Loan Terms

Dicomp, one of the five largest suppliers of solar energy equipment in the country’s multisolutions segment, has been standing out in providing technology for distributed generation in the country. In its first year in the segment, the photovoltaic generation systems supplied by the company have already generated, on average, the equivalent of 3 GWh/year – enough to supply 1,500 households monthly with an average consumption of 200 KWh/month. The volume of energy generated has prevented the emission of 2.3 tons of CO², which is equivalent to the planting of more than 1.3 million trees.

Only in Paraná, where the company is located, about 300 photovoltaic solar generation projects use equipment supplied by Dicomp. Another 500 are distributed across other Brazilian states. The solar generation market is gaining more space among consumers and growing exponentially in Brazil.

Legal Framework for Distributed Generation Should Boost Solar Energy Equipment Market

A new boost for the expansion of the photovoltaic systems market is expected with the legal framework for distributed energy, which was approved by the Chamber of Deputies in August and provides for the maintenance of the current energy compensation rules for connected systems until the publication of the law. This means that they remain exempt from charges for using the distribution network until 2045.

Projects installed after the publication of the law will fall under the transition rule, which exempts payment of tariffs for six years. The approval of the proposal still depends on Senate approval.

“In one year, sales of equipment for photovoltaic solar generation reached 15% of our revenue. Our expectation is that with increased demand, due to the approval of the legal framework and the effects of the water crisis, this percentage will reach 40%,” says Dicomp’s CEO, Filipe Favoto.
