New Xiaomi Mijia Central Air Conditioner Pro Dual Air Wheel Promises to Cool 120 to 190 Square Meters, Operate Between Negative 35 and 65 Degrees, Save Energy at Night, and Control the Entire Smart Home with a 10-Inch Panel and Built-In Presence Radar.
Xiaomi has introduced the Mijia Central Air Conditioner Pro Dual Air Wheel, its most advanced central air conditioning system for smart homes. The device promises to cool an entire house in about five minutes, operate between -35 °C and 65 °C, and also reduce energy consumption at night.
Initially aimed at homes ranging from 120 to 190 square meters, Xiaomi’s new smart air conditioner can be installed with up to six indoor units and a power of 5 to 8 HP. The launch consolidates the brand’s entry into the high-performance central systems segment developed and produced in-house.
Central System for Smart Homes
The Mijia Central Air Conditioner Pro Dual Air Wheel is the first central air conditioning system fully developed and produced by Xiaomi.

A planet that seemed to defy the laws of physics has intrigued scientists for decades, until the James Webb revealed what is really affecting Saturn’s rotation.
The idea is to bring the brand’s smart home ecosystem to residential cooling, with centralized control and advanced automation features.
Designed for medium and large properties, the system serves houses and apartments between 120 and 190 square meters, with combinations of one to six indoor units connected to the same outdoor unit, making custom designs easier for each layout.
Power and Air Flow for Large Areas
In the top-of-the-line model, Xiaomi adopted a dual air flow design, distributing cooling up and down to make the temperature more uniform throughout the room.
The Dual Air Wheel fan, measuring 556 millimeters, operates with two 200-watt motors and an airflow of 7,008 cubic meters per hour.
According to Xiaomi, this setup can completely cool a large room in about five minutes, delivering a quick response even on very hot days.
Performance in Extreme Temperatures
Internally, the system uses a dual-cylinder vapor injection compressor, combined with triple-row condensers and evaporators.
This architecture allows stable operation in extreme temperature ranges, from -35 °C to 65 °C, heating during harsh winters and maintaining cooling under intense heat.
In practice, Xiaomi targets regions with significant climate variation, where the same equipment needs to function as a heater in the cold and as an air conditioner in the summer, without performance drops.
Energy Efficiency and Night Operation
The 8 HP model achieves an APF rating of 5.40, reported as the highest in its category.
In a room, the declared consumption is only 2.5 kilowatts per hour at night, thanks to the 6 hertz ultra-low frequency technology, which keeps the compressor operating at the minimum limit without completely shutting down.
This strategy helps the system avoid constant on and off spikes, which reduces energy expenditure and tends to prolong the lifespan of the internal components of Xiaomi’s air conditioning.
Smart Panel and Connected Home
Each unit of the Mijia Central Air Conditioner Pro Dual Air Wheel comes with a 10-inch smart panel, designed to be the control center of the connected home.
The screen integrates with purifiers, humidifiers, and ventilation systems in the Mijia line, adjusting operation according to CO₂ levels, PM2.5 particles, and air humidity.
With this, Xiaomi’s smart air conditioner not only controls temperature but also participates in managing indoor air quality, reacting automatically when the environment becomes stuffy or when air quality worsens.
In parallel, Xiaomi has been expanding the Mijia portfolio with products such as the Mijia Electric Shaver Pro, with a battery that lasts up to 90 days, and the Mijia 18-liter heater, which uses an AI chip to deliver instant hot water, reinforcing the totally connected home strategy.
Radar That Deflects Air from People
In the most advanced version of the system, Xiaomi adds radar detection to track the position of people in the room.
The equipment identifies where the occupants are and directs the airflow to circulation areas, avoiding direct jets on those sitting on the sofa or in bed.
When the environment becomes empty, the radar also helps the smart air conditioning system automatically reduce power, which contributes to energy savings without relying on constant manual adjustments.
Prices, Warranty, and Next Steps
Upon its arrival in the Chinese market, the Mijia Central Air Conditioner Pro Dual Air Wheel is priced from 25,999 yuan, which is around 20,583 reals, and can exceed 51,999 yuan, about 41,167 reals, in the more powerful configurations.
Xiaomi includes free installation and a ten-year warranty, betting on a device that should remain in use for a long time in homes.
And you, would you install a central air conditioning system from Xiaomi with this level of automation if it arrived in Brazil at a similar price?
