Registration for Free Courses Starts on Monday at the Technological and Professional Education Center (Cetep); All Learning Materials Will Be Provided at No Cost to Students
On Monday (June 3), pre-registration begins for 27 free courses offered by the Municipality of Macaé, through the Technological and Professional Education Center (Cetep), of the Undersecretary of Professional Qualification and High School. Interested individuals must register on the Macaé City Hall website (www.macae.rj.gov.br). A total of 1,420 slots are available. Applicants must be at least 16 years old. Pre-registration will close once all vacancies are filled. Each course has a specific schedule. Classes will begin on June 12.
The novelty of the second batch of courses includes the Travel Agency Assistant course and the upcoming online courses for Port Logistics Operations Assistant, Ead Tutoring in Moodle Environment, and Hybrid Digital Marketing. The online courses will be taught by the Municipal Educational Technology Center (NTM) and were opened due to the success of the online Administrative Assistant course, which will also be offered in this edition. The interested party may enroll in only one course. During pre-registration, the candidate will receive a scheduling protocol with the date and time to complete the enrollment. Enrollment will take place on June 4 and 5. Candidates must go to Rua Alfredo Backer, 363 – Centro, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Enrollment
To enroll, candidates must present the following documents: a photocopy of a photo ID 3×4 and copies of CPF, identity card, as well as proof of residence and education (school report), enrollment declaration for those still studying, or the grade completed. For candidates who have taken courses at Cetep in 2017 and 2018, submission of the necessary documents for registration is optional, except for a copy of the ID and two 3×4 photos. The candidate under 18 years old must have their enrollment completed by a legal guardian. Those unable to attend the headquarters of the Undersecretary of Professional Qualification may enroll through a private power of attorney via an attorney.
Remaining Slots
Those who do not attend on the enrollment date or during the first week of classes will lose their reservation for the course. Due to absence without formal justification, the remaining slots will be made available on June 6 and 7, and enrollments will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
The notice 002/2019 is available on the city hall website, within the link of the Education Secretary, and includes all the rules for admission to the courses. The courses are divided into the following technological axes: cultural production and design; environment and health (beauty); environment and health; management and business; hospitality and leisure; and information and communication. All courses are of short duration. The dates and times of the classes are available in the notice. Each course will be held in specific locations such as Cetep-Centro, Cetep-Barra, and Universidade City, in addition to the Culture Pole of Serra, in Glicério.
Selection
For the courses in the technological axis of Environment and Health, Clinical Analysis Laboratory Assistant, Oral Health Assistant, and Elderly Caregiver, the candidate must undergo mandatory internship.
Courses
In the Environment and Health axis focusing on Beauty, the topics covered will include: Makeup Artist, Assistant Hairdresser, Manicurist and Pedicurist, Eyebrow Design, and Barber. The Environment and Health axis includes courses for Clinical Analysis Laboratory Assistant, Oral Health Assistant, and Elderly Caregiver. The “Cultural Production and Design” axis encompasses courses in Basic Interior Design Techniques, Beginner Sewing, Fabric Arts and Handcrafted Line, Biscuit Crafts and Souvenirs, and Beginner Canvas Painting.
In Hospitality and Leisure, interested parties can enroll in Homemade Food Production (jams, sweets, and cookies), Basic Bakery, and Basic Confectionery, Travel Agency Assistant, Referee Training, and Basic Reception Service Concepts. The “Information and Communication” axis includes courses in Basic Computer Skills and Ead Tutoring in Moodle Environment.
Meanwhile, the courses in Ead Administrative Assistant, Port Logistics Operations Assistant, Digital Marketing, Project Management, Administration Assistant, and Basic Human Resources Concepts are part of the “Management and Business” axis.
The theoretical learning materials for the courses will be provided free of charge by Cetep. The necessary consumable and permanent materials for the individual practices of some courses must be purchased by the students, as instructed by the teachers on the first day of class.
