2 Used Volkswagen Cars Worth It in Brazil. Jetta Comfortline 2.0 2015 and SpaceCross 1.6 MSI 2016 Offer Versatility, Comfort, and Great Value for Money in the Used Car Market

In the market for used Volkswagen cars, models like Gol and Fox usually dominate searches, but there are less popular options that deliver more than they seem. The Jetta Comfortline 2.0 2015 and SpaceCross 1.6 MSI 2016 are examples of vehicles that combine mechanical reliability, comfort, and competitive prices, pleasing different driver profiles.

While the Jetta stands out for its mid-size sedan stature, finish, and simple maintenance for the category, the SpaceCross wins over with its versatility of a wagon with an adventurous style and generous interior space. Both offer good value for money for those looking to escape obvious choices.

Volkswagen Jetta Comfortline 2.0 (Flex) 2015

The Jetta Comfortline 2.0 aspirated is a mid-size sedan from Volkswagen that competes with Corolla and Civic, but positions itself as a more rational option than turbocharged versions. It focuses on durability and predictable maintenance costs, without sacrificing space and comfort for travel or daily use.

Equipped with a 2.0 8V Flex engine of up to 120 hp, torque of 18.4 kgfm, and a 6-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission, the model offers acceleration of about 11.5 s from 0–100 km/h and a top speed of 190 km/h. The consumption, according to Inmetro, is 8.5 km/l in the city and 12.2 km/l on the highway with gasoline.

In terms of comfort, it delivers spacious seats, suspension aimed at softness, and a 510-liter trunk. The equipment list includes dual-zone digital air conditioning, cruise control, multifunction steering wheel, and 6 airbags. Maintenance is simple, with easily found parts, and insurance is cheaper than that of turbocharged rivals.

The price in the Fipe Table (Aug/2025) is R$ 72,900, with moderate depreciation. It’s advisable to opt for units with documented maintenance history and avoid adapted versions or those with severe use.

Volkswagen SpaceCross 1.6 MSI 2016

The SpaceCross is the adventurous version of the SpaceFox, designed for those who want the space and modularity of a compact wagon with a more robust look. Ideal for families or for those who frequently transport light loads, it combines a 440-liter trunk (expandable with folded seats) with a 1.6 MSI Flex engine of up to 110 hp and torque of 15.8 kgfm.

The 5-speed manual transmission ensures balanced performance, with acceleration of about 11.2 s from 0–100 km/h and consumption of 10.2 km/l in the city and 13.3 km/l on the highway (gasoline). The driving position is slightly elevated, the cabin is spacious, and the sliding rear seats enhance versatility.

Among the equipment, it offers air conditioning, power steering, power windows and locks, fog lights, roof rack, and 15-inch wheels. Insurance is usually affordable, and maintenance is simple, with widely available parts in the market.

The value in the Fipe Table (Aug/2025) is R$ 64,200, with good liquidity in resale. The 1.6 MSI manual version is recommended, and units modified or showing excessive wear on the clutch should be avoided.

The Jetta Comfortline 2.0 2015 is recommended for those seeking a reliable, comfortable, and predictable maintenance mid-size sedan, while the SpaceCross 1.6 MSI 2016 is perfect for those valuing space, versatility, and economy in a family car. Both are strategic choices for those looking for a used Volkswagen that stands out from the ordinary.

And you, do you think these two models represent the best value for money among used Volkswagen cars? Or do you prefer other options from the brand? Leave your opinion in the comments.
