Cattadini Terminals celebrates its 43 years of operation with an important milestone: the depth of the internal berth of the private pier has been increased. This expansion allowed the draft to increase from 12 to 12.5 meters, a measure that has been duly approved by the Maritime and Port Authorities. With this update, the company demonstrates its commitment to continuously improve its operations.
The company Cattalini Terminals has established itself in the market over the years with its innovative initiatives. With the increased draft, the company will offer even better conditions for the docking of ships. This significant improvement reflects Cattalini Terminals’ ongoing effort to adapt to market needs and provide efficiency in its operations. Such actions highlight Cattalini’s commitment to innovation and excellence.

Optimization of Operations at Cattalini Pier
With the increased draft, operations at Cattalini’s pier will be even more effective, allowing for better balancing of ship docking between the internal and external berths, resulting in greater speed and efficiency in waiting times for docking. Carlos Katsuji Ichi, senior operations manager, highlighted these improvements. Cattalini Terminals pier has two distinct docking berths.
Capacity to Receive Large Ships
The external berth now has a draft of 12.8 meters, while the internal berth has a draft of 12.5 meters. The structure can accommodate ships up to 229 and 190 meters long, respectively. In the past year, Cattalini Terminals handled 5.3 million tons of liquid bulk, representing a 4% increase compared to 2022.
International Trade and Moved Products
The company’s positive results were driven primarily by exports of vegetable oils and biodiesel, as well as imports of methanol, oil derivatives and caustic soda. It is important to mention that all this growth is also due to the hard work of the company, reflected in its operations at the pier.
Celebration of 43 Years of Foundation
The announcement about the increased draft came at a moment of double celebration, as the company celebrates this month its 43 years of foundation, coinciding with the 376 years of the city of Paranaguá. To celebrate these significant dates, Cattalini Terminals is promoting the Cattalini Festival, which includes a series of cultural, environmental, and sports events.
Cattalini Festival and Supported Projects
The Cattalini Festival comprises a range of activities that stem from the projects supported by the company through Incentive Laws throughout the year. In addition to promoting the cultural sector, the company also participates in environmental and sports initiatives, highlighting its commitment to the community.
