Consolidation of the CBGD Event in 2024
With the official support of important national and international entities and associations, such as the WBA – World Bioenergy Association, the Congress has been a pioneer in Brazil by exclusively focusing on the interests of Distributed Generation (GD) companies, which are already responsible for 31 GW of installed capacity, according to the National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL).
Tiago Fraga, director of the FRG Media & Events Group, emphasizes that the CBGD has matured more than ever in 2024, establishing itself as the largest event of distributed generation with renewable sources throughout Latin America. ‘The event has evolved significantly and is now a reference in the sector,’ declares Fraga.

The main goal of the CBGD, according to the organization, is to discuss the current scenario of Distributed Generation with Renewable Sources in the Brazilian electric matrix. ‘The goal is the same, to bring together the entire productive chain of renewable energies, as a whole, highlighting biomass, solar, hydrogen, and energy storage. All topics are also linked to ESG, sustainability, environmental issues, and carbon compensation. These are subjects we will be addressing and exchanging experiences during the event,’ explains Fraga.
It is worth noting that, in nine years of history, the CBGD has already received over 250,000 visitors and featured participation from more than 200 brands, generating over 1 billion in business. It takes place simultaneously with ExpoGD – Brazilian Fair on Distributed Generation with Renewable Sources, the first event focused exclusively on topics related to the sector, providing the market with an exclusive showcase where the audience has a direct interest in sector discussions, seeking information on technologies, equipment, among others.
