Amazon is selling a prefabricated home with three bedrooms and a full bathroom for around R$80. With a steel frame and functional design, the home offers practicality and savings.

The search for affordable and sustainable housing has gained a new and unexpected ally: Amazon.

Known as one of the largest e-commerce platforms in the world, the company now offers in its catalog a prefabricated house with three bedrooms, equipped bathroom, living room and full kitchen – all for less than R$80 thousand.

The attractive price, combined with the promise of quick and practical construction, attracted the attention of interested parties from different parts of the world.

However, one issue still concerns us: this economical and modern alternative is not available to Brazilians.

Amazon's prefab home

According to the newspaper Diary One, the house sold by Amazon is an alternative ideal for those looking to build a functional home more quickly and economically.

The model has three bedrooms, a bathroom, living room and kitchen, designed to meet the needs of a small family or a couple.

The structure is completely prefabricated, which means it can be assembled and installed in a short time, reducing construction costs and avoiding the bureaucracy that is normally involved in conventional construction.

Measuring 12 meters long, 6 meters wide and 2,5 meters high, the construction is based on a foldable steel structure, which facilitates transportation and assembly.

In terms of space and organization, the house offers an optimized layout so that the environment can be used efficiently, meeting the residents' needs for comfort and practicality.

Internal equipment and thermal comfort

One of the model's main attractions is the set of internal equipment, designed to guarantee functionality and comfort.

The house comes equipped with L-shaped cabinets, a sink, a mirror, a full electrical system, and a water heater – an important item in colder climates.

The bathroom is also complete, with a toilet, and there is a plumbing system that follows North American standards.

To maximize ventilation and natural light, the kit includes 10 large windows, plus a smaller window for the bathroom.

The entrance door is made of glass, giving it a modern look and facilitating the entry of light into the interior space.

The internal doors are made of aluminum, reinforcing the durability and resistance of the structure.

Thermal insulation for economy and sustainability

The external walls and roof of the house are insulated with expanding foam panels, an important feature for both thermal comfort and the energy efficiency of the building.

This type of insulation helps maintain a pleasant indoor temperature, reducing the need for heating or cooling systems, which can result in energy savings over time.

This is an important difference for those looking for a more sustainable home that is aligned with the need to reduce environmental impact.

This attention to detail in thermal insulation reflects the trend towards buildings that are not only affordable, but also environmentally friendly and efficient.

With the growing demand for sustainable housing, Amazon appears to have its eye on the future of housing, offering a model that combines affordability with resource conservation.

The cost and unavailability for Brazil

With a price tag of approximately 14 thousand dollars, or around R$ 80 thousand, the prefabricated house sold by Amazon offers an attractive price for those looking for an affordable home.

However, there is one significant limitation: Amazon currently only ships this model to customers in the United States.

This means that Brazilians interested in purchasing the product would need to consider other options, since the retail giant does not yet allow the purchase and shipping of this model to Brazil.

Even if it were possible to import the house, adjustments and adaptations would be necessary, especially in the electrical and hydraulic parts, to comply with Brazilian regulations.

Furthermore, transportation and import costs would certainly increase the final value, which would reduce the financial advantage of the purchase.

The trend of prefabricated houses

The home model offered by Amazon reflects a growing movement around the world in search of more affordable and practical housing solutions.

Prefabricated houses are gaining more and more fans due to their ease of installation, reduced cost and lower environmental impact compared to traditional constructions.

In countries like the United States and Europe, this trend is increasingly common, while in Brazil it still faces logistical and cultural barriers, but is gaining popularity.

These constructions have become a viable solution for those who need housing quickly, especially in areas where the scarcity of available properties or high construction costs make access to quality housing difficult.

In Brazil, initiatives focused on sustainable and prefabricated homes are beginning to gain ground, but there is still a gap in the market for affordable, ready-to-assemble products.

Expectation of expansion in Brazil

Amazon's entry into the prefabricated housing market points to a promising future for this type of housing on a global scale.

For Brazilians interested in economic and sustainable alternatives, there is still the expectation that products like this will be available for import in the future., especially with the advancement of policies that encourage sustainable construction.

Amazon has a history of adapting products for different markets, and over time, the company may consider expanding the availability of these homes to Brazil and other countries.

After all, the demand for affordable and practical housing is a reality in many parts of the world.

If the new product were already available in Brazil, would you buy it, reader? Leave your answer in the comments and see you next time!
