Gramado Starts Construction on Mega Tourist Complex with Billion-Dollar Investment, Resort, and Ski Slope in Brazil.
Gramado has begun the construction of a mega tourist complex that promises to transform tourism in the Serra Gaúcha, with a billion-dollar investment estimated at R$ 1.5 billion.
The project began to take shape in 2025, will be implemented between Gramado and the Caracol Park in Canela, and will be executed in phases, with the first stage scheduled for completion in 2027.
The proposal brings together leisure, hospitality, housing, and nature in one space, betting on unprecedented infrastructure in the country to reposition the region on the international tourism map.

Located in an area of 205 hectares, the development occupies a territory larger than Ibirapuera and Villa-Lobos parks combined.
In proportion, it corresponds to about half of Central Park in New York, which reinforces the strategic dimension of the project for Gramado and neighboring municipalities.
International Resort and Ski Slope in Brazil Are Anchors of the Project
The first phase of the mega tourist complex includes the implementation of a Club Med resort, which will serve as the anchor of the enterprise.
The hotel will feature 250 rooms, a convention center, space for weddings and corporate events, as well as an initial offering of 20 single-family homes for sale.
However, the main differentiator is the ski slope in Brazil, announced as the first of its kind outdoors in the country.
When completed, the structure is expected to be the largest in Latin America, solidifying Gramado as a tourist destination with a unique experience in South America.
This combination of accommodation, entertainment, and innovation reinforces the strategy to create a tourist hub operating year-round, reducing the typical seasonality of the Serra Gaúcha.
Works Progress in Phases with Environmental Licensing Approved
The environmental work began in October, with activities of earthworks and organization of the construction site.
Moreover, according to the responsible parties, the foundations phase is scheduled for January 2026, respecting the timeline set for the first delivery in 2027.
The entire mega tourist complex has already received approval from the State Environmental Protection Foundation, allowing for the advancement of the initial interventions.
The planning foresees gradual execution over several years, following the expansion of infrastructure and tourist demand.
Sustainability and Integration with the Serra Gaúcha Landscape
Thus, in addition to its size, the project bets on environmental guidelines as a competitive differentiator.
Comprehensive sanitation systems, stormwater management, and measures aimed at water security, a sensitive issue for the region, are planned.
The mixed-use of space is also one of the pillars of the billion-dollar investment.
Additionally, part of the complex will be open to the public, with areas integrated into the natural landscape of the Serra Gaúcha, enhancing the proposal for sustainable and experiential tourism.
Among the planned facilities are an aerial park, ecological trails, a botanical garden, an orchidarium, a spa, an indoor pool, yoga rooms, and community spaces.
The idea is to create an environment that unites leisure, well-being, and contact with nature.
Urban Infrastructure, Services, and Gastronomy Enhance Attractiveness
The planning also includes areas designated for a hospital, helipad, and essential services, ensuring autonomy for the mega tourist complex.
In the gastronomic and cultural area, the project envisions an artisanal chocolate shop, ice cream factory, themed restaurants, and a wine cellar dedicated to local wines.
Furthermore, this diversity of attractions reinforces Gramado’s positioning as a premium destination, capable of attracting national and international visitors interested in complete experiences that go beyond traditional tourism.
Ideation, Financing, and Regional Economic Impact
The enterprise is financed by Dody Sirena, known for his trajectory in the entertainment market and for having been Roberto Carlos’s businessman for three decades.
The proposal, according to the creators, combines tourism, leisure, and real estate in a long-term model focused on continuous appreciation.
The expectation is that the billion-dollar investment will generate up to 19,000 direct and indirect jobs throughout all phases of the project.
In addition, the complex is expected to strengthen the local economy, increase revenue, and solidify Gramado as one of the main tourist hubs in Latin America.
Thus, with unprecedented infrastructure, a ski slope in Brazil, and a strong sustainable appeal, the new mega tourist complex marks a turning point for Gramado
And for the entire Serra Gaúcha, opening a new chapter in Brazilian tourism.
