Meet the Lecar Model 459, the Pioneering Brazilian Electric Car That Promises to Revolutionize the Automotive Market and Earned Its Creator the Title of “Brazilian Elon Musk”
A resident of Espírito Santo is about to make history in the Brazilian automotive sector by creating the country’s first electric car, inspired by the visionary entrepreneur Elon Musk, founder of Tesla. Flávio Figueiredo Assis, an entrepreneur at the helm of Lecar, is leading the development of the Lecar Model 459, a fully electric vehicle that promises to revolutionize the national industry, according to the website Garagem 360.
The Lecar Model 459: National Innovation Inspired by Billionaire Elon Musk
Lecar, a manufacturer based in São Paulo, is committed to producing the Lecar Model 459 electric car, which is currently in the development and homologation phase in London, England. The electric car, inspired by Elon Musk’s models, will have a range of 400 km per charge and is scheduled to go into production by 2025, with an expectation of manufacturing 300 units per month.
The creation of Lecar was driven by Brazilian regulations that require the reduction of CO2 emissions from electric cars by 2027. Flávio Figueiredo Assis, after selling his previous business, saw this opportunity as a chance to enter a constantly evolving market. The company plans to conduct its initial public offering in 2025 with the launch of the Lecar Model 459 electric car, and its industrial plant is located in Caxias do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul.

65% of Parts in Brazil and Export Potential
Lecar aims to achieve self-sufficiency in electric car production, with 65% of the parts for the Model 459 being produced domestically. The partnership with the Chinese brand Wiston, a supplier of components for renowned manufacturers such as Volkswagen and Hyundai, will ensure the vehicle’s quality and competitiveness.
Flávio Figueiredo Assis believes that Brazil has the potential to become a global player in the production of electric vehicles, with the capacity to export to other countries (watch out, Elon Musk!)
New Electric Car Was Inspired by Tesla
Just like Elon Musk and his Tesla, Lecar draws inspiration from major electric vehicle manufacturers. The company disassembled a Tesla model to study its engineering, demonstrating its commitment to innovation and the pursuit of excellence in automotive technology.
With the creation of the Lecar Model 459 electric car, Brazil takes a significant step towards sustainable mobility and insertion into the global electric vehicle market, paving the way for a new era in the national automotive industry, inspired by Elon Musk.
