Updates to the Caoa Chery Tiggo 5X boosted sales
The 2027 line of the Tiggo 5X brought significant visual and technological changes.
On the outside, the SUV received a new front grille, full-LED headlights, and redesigned bumpers, giving it a modern and more aggressive style.
Inside, the highlight is the 20.5-inch curved screen, which integrates a digital dashboard and multimedia center.
The model also offers seven airbags, including a central airbag, panoramic sunroof, 360° camera, dual-zone air conditioning, and induction charger with cooling, reinforcing the commitment to comfort and safety.
The Tiggo 5X 2027 is available in two versions: Sport (R$ 124,990) and Pro (R$ 141,990), both with a 1.5 turbo flex engine of 150 hp and a nine-speed CVT transmission.

Waiting lists and the manufacturer’s surprise
The success of the Tiggo 5X caught Caoa Chery by surprise, and many vehicles leave the dealerships directly to customers, without even being displayed.
The high demand resulted in waits that vary and can reach up to four months, depending on the location.
The situation highlights that a well-planned update, combined with consumer value perception, can drastically transform sales performance, even in a competitive segment like compact SUVs.
The context of the Brazilian automotive market
Besides the Tiggo 5X, other models also stood out in March. The Toyota Yaris Cross registered a growth of 552%, with 3,864 units sold, while the Geely EX2 reached 1,157 units, a 500% increase after the launch of a new batch.
The Chevrolet Spark EUV (+295%) and the Nissan Kicks (+245%) also had good results.
On the other hand, some models faced declines: the Toyota RAV4 fell by 66%, the Volkswagen Amarok recorded a drop of 47%, and other models like BYD Seal (-20%) and Ford Bronco (-17%) also performed below expectations.

Perspectives and future strategies
With the 2027 line consolidating the Caoa Chery Tiggo 5X as a reference in design, technology, and safety, the expectation is that the model will continue to drive the market and attract consumers.
The manufacturer is working to reduce waiting times and meet the growing demand, ensuring that success does not become a logistical problem.
The phenomenon also highlights a trend in the Brazilian market: investing in innovation and consumer experience is essential to generate significant growth in sales, even in highly competitive segments.
