Chevrolet Reduces Tracker 2026 Price by Up to R$ 15 Thousand and Tries to Regain Space Among SUVs

Chevrolet announced this week a significant price reduction for the Tracker 2026, with cuts reaching R$ 15 thousand on nearly all versions.

The measure, effective from October, applies nationwide and aims to revitalize SUV sales, which have not been meeting expectations since its launch in July in Brazil.

The new Tracker, which had received enhancements in design, suspension system, and technological features, now gains a new attraction: a more competitive price in the segment.

The brand hopes to strengthen its presence in a market dominated by direct rivals such as the Hyundai Creta, Volkswagen T-Cross, and Nissan Kicks.

Significant Discounts and More Affordable Versions

The reductions surprised even the most optimistic. While the 1.0 Turbo AT version kept the price of R$ 119,900, other configurations saw significant drops.

The Tracker LT Turbo AT, for example, went from R$ 154,090 to R$ 142,490, a reduction of R$ 11,600.

The LTZ and Premier versions received even larger cuts: R$ 11,800 and R$ 14,600, respectively. The top-of-the-line Tracker RS 1.2 Turbo AT and the commemorative 100 Years edition also dropped to R$ 175,990, repositioning the model as one of the most attractive SUVs in cost-effectiveness this year-end.

Additionally, the versions aimed at the PcD audience remained accessible, reinforcing the manufacturer’s inclusive strategy in Brazil.

What Changes in the New Chevrolet Tracker 2026

The Chevrolet Tracker 2026 arrived in the market with a revamped look. The front received new details and made the SUV look more modern and competitive among rivals.

The suspension has been recalibrated to improve comfort. Now, the car better absorbs the irregularities of Brazilian streets, offering a more stable and safe experience.

The oil-bathed timing belt system has been adjusted. This change addresses criticism received in previous versions and increases the reliability of the mechanical set.

Under the hood, the turbo engines remain. The 1.0 delivers 121 hp on ethanol, while the 1.2 delivers 141 hp, both with automatic transmission.

The top versions offer more technology. Among the features are a panoramic sunroof, wireless charger, collision alert, and automatic parking Easy Park.

These improvements make the SUV more competitive. The Chevrolet Tracker 2026 aims to meet consumers who prioritize safety, comfort, and technology when choosing a car for everyday use.

Chevrolet Bets on the Combination of Price and Technology

With the new pricing, Chevrolet repositions the Tracker. The goal is to make it the most competitive compact SUV, now cheaper and well-equipped.

Even in the 1.0 Turbo AT version, the model surprises. It comes with six airbags, stability and traction control, as well as an 8” MyLink multimedia center.

The car also offers wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Another highlight is the built-in Wi-Fi, a feature uncommon among direct competitors.

Thus, by combining reduced price, updated design, and advanced technology, Chevrolet aims to reverse the weak sales recorded after the launch of the new Tracker.

Chevrolet’s Strategy Aims at Sales Recovery

Chevrolet’s decision reflects a trend in the automotive market in 2025: reducing prices to rekindle consumer interest amid fierce competition and sector slowdown.

While other manufacturers maintain modest adjustments, General Motors (GM) bets on aggressive cuts to regain market share and foster customer loyalty.

Therefore, the Tracker 2026 emerges not only as a modern SUV but also as a direct response to Brazilian consumers’ demands for vehicles with better cost-effectiveness.
