The new Chevrolet Equinox arrives in Brazil with a renewed design, 5G connectivity and a turbo engine. Available in the RS and Activ versions, the SUV promises to redefine the market with technology and efficiency.

Get ready for a launch that is generating expectations among SUV lovers.

Chevrolet has just confirmed the arrival of the new Equinox to Brazil, a vehicle that combines sophistication, cutting-edge technology and a design that promises to become a reference in the segment.

In a groundbreaking announcement on LinkedIn, Chamorro revealed that the new Chevrolet Equinox will be the brand's sixth and final launch in 2024.

The SUV, scheduled to debut in November, will be available in two versions in Brazil: RS and Activ.

While the RS will have a more sporty and urban appeal, the Activ targets drivers looking for an adventurous style.

Both versions will feature all-wheel drive and an 8-speed automatic transmission., as per the details observed in the official video.

This marks an improvement over North American models, which only have front-wheel drive and a CVT transmission.

Cutting edge technology

One of the main highlights is connectivity. The Equinox will be the first Chevrolet model in Brazil with support for 5G technology, accompanied by the most up-to-date MyLink multimedia center.

This promises to deliver an even more interactive experience to drivers, but there is one detail that raises questions: will it be the first model without support for Apple CarPlay in the country?

This decision follows a global trend at GM, but has not yet been confirmed for the Brazilian market. If it does come to fruition, it could generate mixed reactions among consumers.

Proven engine and energy efficiency

Under the hood, the Equinox maintains the 1.5 turbo gasoline engine, already known to the Brazilian public and praised for its efficiency. With 175 hp of power, it promises to maintain the balance between performance and consumption.

General Motors has signaled that there could be improvements in energy efficiency, possibly due to the 8-speed gearbox or engine tweaks.

This combination could make Equinox more competitive in an increasingly demanding market..

Renewed design and striking style

The Equinox's design has undergone a complete overhaul. The new generation adopts straighter lines and a muscular look, following the visual language of models such as Montana and Trax.

At the front, the SUV features a wide grille and split headlights with LED daytime running lights at the top.

The rear keeps the lights horizontally, but with a modern touch thanks to the vertical extension.

At 4,65 m long and with a 2,73 m wheelbase, the Equinox combines interior space and external grandeur, pleasing both families and drivers looking for a more robust vehicle.

RS and Activ versions: which one suits you best?

Each version of Equinox has its own identity:

Equinox RS: opts for a sporty look, with diamond-cut wheels, a glossy black finish on the grille and red details on the interior.

The seats feature the version emblem on the headrests, reinforcing their exclusive character.

Equinox Activ: favors an adventurous style, with robust wheels, chrome details on the grille and a color palette that mixes beige, gray and orange in the interior.

Both versions offer all-wheel drive, ensuring greater safety and performance on varied terrain.

Chevrolet and the centenary in Brazil

In addition to the launch of new Equinox, Chevrolet is preparing to celebrate 100 years of operation in Brazil in 2025.

This historic milestone reinforces the automaker's commitment to the Brazilian market, bringing innovations that meet local demands.

The new Equinox symbolizes this legacy, blending tradition and cutting-edge technology.

What to expect from the launch?

The official presentation of the new Equinox is expected to take place in November, when more details about prices, versions and equipment will be released.

Consumers are eagerly awaiting an SUV that promises to redefine the standard in the segment.

And you, do you believe that the new Chevrolet Equinox will be able to surpass its competitors in the Brazilian market?
