Conab Projections Indicate That Chicken Meat Production in Brazil Will Continue to Grow Until 2026, With Historical Records, Export Expansion, and Increased Domestic Protein Supply
The production of chicken meat in Brazil is expected to reach a new milestone in 2026, in a scenario marked by the continuous advancement of protein supply and the country’s consolidation as one of the largest global suppliers, according to a report published.
Updated projections from the National Supply Company (Conab) show that poultry farming continues to expand its share in both national and international markets, reinforcing a robust production framework and guaranteed supply for Brazilian consumers.
The positive behavior of the sector is also related to the performance of pig farming, which contributes to the sum of the three most consumed proteins in the country, estimated at 32.6 million tons next year.

For pork, the expected production for 2025 is 5.63 million tons, and exports could reach 1.48 million tons, despite the slowdown in Chinese demand following the recovery of the herd affected by African Swine Fever.
Still, domestic availability is expected to grow from 4 million to 4.16 million tons. In 2026, the produced volume could reach 5.88 million tons, with projected shipments of 1.6 million.
The direct relationship between chicken meat production in Brazil and the total of the three most consumed proteins in the country, whose expected sum for 2026 is 32.6 million tons, constitutes a new national record.
Internal Per Capita Availability and Chicken Export Projections for Next Year
Beef also shows significant movements. For 2025, production is estimated at 11.38 million tons, with exports potentially reaching 4.21 million, the highest volume ever recorded.
In 2026, the sector is expected to feel the effects of the reversal of the livestock cycle, reducing production to 10.89 million tons.
Internal availability may drop to 6.67 million, although international demand remains strong.
The production of chicken meat in Brazil stands out as a pillar of stability in national supply at a time when other proteins face productive adjustments.
At the same time, egg production is expected to reach 50.3 billion units in 2026, up 2.6% from the 49 billion projected for 2025, further increasing the protein supply in the country.
