New IBGE Public Competition Has Hundreds Of Open Positions In Seven Of The Eight Blocks Of The Unified National Public Competition. Know Which Positions, Salaries, And Jobs Are Offered.

The Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services (MGI) announced last Wednesday (10) in Brasília (DF) detailed data about the Unified National Public Competition (CPNU), with the launch of the notices on the same day. IBGE participates in the CPNU focusing on offering 895 positions aimed at various professional profiles. This is the largest public competition ever held by IBGE.

Announced in 2023, the Unified National Public Competition is a new model for selecting federal public servants in which it is possible to compete for permanent positions offered by various agencies through a single test. In total, 6,640 positions from 21 federal agencies are part of the contest.

The notices regarding each of the eight thematic blocks in which these positions have been divided, as well as the schedule of the selection process and other data, are available on the official contest website. Applications open this Friday (19) and close on February 9, with the exam scheduled for May 5.

Understand How The Positions Of The IBGE Public Competition Are Distributed

For those with a higher education degree, the positions and specialties related to IBGE are divided as follows: 133 positions in Block 1 (Exact Sciences, Infrastructure, and Engineering); 122 positions in Block 2 (Technology, Information, and Data); 29 positions in Block 3 (Environmental, Biological, and Agricultural); 4 positions in Block 5 (Education, Social Development, Health, and Human Rights); 32 positions in Block 6 (Economic Sectors and Regulation); and 275 positions in Block 7 (Government Management and Public Administration). Those approved in the IBGE public competition may work in various locations throughout the national territory, depending on the desired function.

In cases where a position is offered in multiple cities or states, the person with the best classification in the public competition will have preference in choosing their respective workplace, and so on.

Finally, in Block 8 (Intermediate Level), 300 positions are allocated for candidates with a high school education, gathered separately in one of the 5 regions of Brazil: 47 positions in the North, 40 in the Center-West, 86 in the Northeast, 91 in the Southeast; and 36 in the South. The option for the desired regions will be made by the candidate at the time of registration.

Salaries For The IBGE Public Competition

Two of the three positions requiring a higher education degree (Technologist in Geographic and Statistical Information and Analyst of Planning, Management, and Infrastructure in Geographic and Statistical Information) have an initial salary of R$ 8,453.00.

The position of researcher in Geographic and Statistical Information will receive R$ 10,233.67, while the salaries for the functions of intermediate level (Technician in Geographic and Statistical Information) is R$ 4,008.24.

Possible qualifications bonuses were not considered. Permanent federal employees are entitled to benefits such as health assistance, food assistance, transportation assistance, daycare assistance, among others. According to Bruno Malheiros, Human Resources Coordinator at IBGE, this IBGE public competition is extremely important, considering the need to replenish the agency’s workforce.
