Despite the initial announcement mentioning January 25 as the final deadline, the Federal Institute published an amendment to the notice and advanced the closing of the registration period.
With the official change, interested parties could register until January 16, 2026, at 11:59 PM, according to the new schedule released by the institution.
How the IFB Specialization in School Management Works
The course will be offered in the Distance Education modality, with classes, forums, and assessment activities concentrated on the Moodle platform of NEaD.
Throughout the specialization, students must complete theoretical and practical subjects outlined in the pedagogical project, in addition to meeting minimum participation and academic performance criteria.
Although most of the content is developed online, the notice establishes the holding of mandatory in-person meetings during the course.
These in-person activities take place at support hubs and may include assessments, academic guidance, and other activities that require physical infrastructure.
According to the notice, the in-person meetings are expected to primarily take place on Saturdays, with dates announced in advance by the course coordination.
The official schedule predicts the start of classes on February 12, 2026, after the final results of the selection process are announced.
The first call for selected candidates is indicated for February 4, 2026, according to institutional information.
In-Person Hubs and Distribution of Slots
The 300 slots are equally distributed among six in-person support hubs, with 50 slots per location.
In the Federal District, the hubs are located in Brasília, Samambaia, and São Sebastião.
In the state of Goiás, the in-person meetings will occur at the hubs of Alexânia, Alto Paraíso de Goiás, and Goianésia.
At the time of registration, the candidate must choose the hub to which they will be linked during the course, including for participation in in-person activities.
The choice of the hub does not alter the structure of the distance course but defines the student’s academic reference location.
Who Can Register and How the Selection Works
Individuals holding a graduation diploma in any field of knowledge can participate in the selection process, provided that their higher education course was completed at an institution recognized by the Ministry of Education.
The notice does not restrict participation to professionals in the educational field, expanding access to training in school management.
The selection occurs in a single stage, based on curricular analysis, with a classificatory character.
The scoring considers the information and documents presented by the candidate at the time of registration, according to the criteria defined in the notice and its attachments.
In addition to the open competition slots, the selection process provides for reserved slots for different groups, following the inclusion policies adopted by the institution.
Among the groups covered are individuals with disabilities, self-declared black, brown, or indigenous candidates, quilombola individuals, transgender individuals, and employees of public institutions indicated in the notice.
The specific rules for each category of slot are detailed in the official selection document.
How to Register
Registration is conducted exclusively online, through the system indicated in the notice of the Federal Institute of Brasília.
The candidate must fill out the electronic form, select the specialization course in School Management, choose the in-person hub, and indicate the type of slot for which they wish to compete.
It is also necessary to attach the required documentation for the curricular analysis, following the deadlines and guidelines detailed in the notice and its amendments.
With the update of the schedule, the registration period ended on January 16, 2026, at 11:59 PM, and only candidates registered within this timeframe participate in the selection.
