Fiat has updated the Pulse SUV portfolio for the 2026 line, highlighting the gap of R$ 48,000 between the Drive 1.3 MT configuration and the top-of-the-line Impetus T200 Hybrid AT. Produced in Brazil since 2021, the utility vehicle ranks among the leaders in the entry segment and is undergoing a mid-life redesign with visual and content changes.
The entry-level version costs R$ 98,990, equipped with a naturally aspirated 1.3 Firefly engine and manual transmission, while the more sophisticated model costs R$ 146,990, bringing a 1.0 turbo mild-hybrid engine and CVT automatic transmission. The price difference is linked to performance, economy, equipment, and embedded technologies.
In addition to these, the range includes intermediate versions with automatic and hybrid options, as well as the sporty Abarth T270, which is not part of this comparison due to its distinct focus.

Engine Differences Explain Part of the Jump in Final Price
In the Pulse Drive 1.3 MT, the mechanical set is the naturally aspirated Firefly with up to 107 hp and 13.7 kgfm, paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Its declared consumption is 9.0 km/l in the city and 10.4 km/l on the highway with ethanol, and 12.5 km/l and 14.7 km/l with gasoline.
The Pulse Impetus T200 Hybrid, on the other hand, comes with a 1.0 three-cylinder turbo engine with up to 130 hp and 20.4 kgfm, in addition to the 12V mild hybrid system. Even with similar consumption (9.3 km/l and 10.2 km/l with ethanol; 13.4 km/l and 14.4 km/l with gasoline), the performance is much superior: acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.4 seconds compared to 11.7 s of the entry-level model.
This gain in performance and energy efficiency, even if subtle in consumption, is one of the differentiators of the top-of-the-line version.

In addition to the more advanced engine, the Impetus version justifies the extra cost with a more complete equipment package. The basic model includes only essential features, with steel wheels, fabric seats, analog dashboard, and no driving assistance features.
Both come with air conditioning, LED headlights, cruise control, and a multimedia center with wireless mirroring, but only the Impetus delivers wireless charging, 100% digital dashboard, 17-inch wheels, two-tone paint, collision warning, and autonomous braking.
