The Instituto Tecnológico da Aeronáutica (ITA) is offering 150 places in higher education courses in engineering. Candidates who graduate from the course will occupy the position of 1st lieutenant in the air force, with salaries in excess of R$ 8

The Instituto Tecnológico da Aeronáutica (ITA) is now accepting applications for its 2023 entrance exam. The institution's selection process aims to fill 150 vacancies in six undergraduate courses. Those interested have until July 15th. It is important to highlight that, since 2019, the Technological Institute of Aeronautics vacancies are available for black candidates, with 20% of the total number of vacancies for racial quota holders. In addition, of the ITA opportunities, 36 are aimed at those who wish to pursue a military career and the rest are for candidates interested in acting as civilians.

Important details about ITA courses and their vacancies

The 150 vacancies at the Instituto Tecnológico da Aeronáutica (ITA) include people of both sexes, provided they have a maximum of 23 years old.

In addition, as it is a ticket to higher education, the institution also requires a high school diploma. We separate below the courses that are available by ITA and their respective number of vacancies:

  • Aerospace engineering (27 vacancies);
  • Mechanical-aeronautical engineering (25 vacancies);
  • Computer engineering (32 vacancies);
  • Civil-aeronautical engineering (18 vacancies);
  • Electronic engineering (25 vacancies).

It is important to point out that all courses at the Instituto Tecnológico da Aeronáutica (ITA) are for the Exact Sciences area and last for five years.

In the first two years, those approved take a fundamental course, focused on the basic content of Engineering. In the final years, training is made up of specific disciplines.

How to apply for the ITA 2023 selection process?

Candidates who are interested in participating in the selection process can apply online, through the official website of ITA.

It will be necessary to fill out an application form with essential data such as full name, gender, color, date of birth, CPF, RG, address, telephone, education, city of birth, among others. After completing the application form, applicants must pay a participation fee, in the amount of R$ 195.

Upon graduation, students on the course assume the position of 1st lieutenant in the Aeronautics, guaranteeing a starting salary of R$8.245. Considering that it is a higher education institution, the Instituto Tecnológico da Aeronáutica attracts many students from different parts of Brazil.

Next year's edition of the entrance exam will be applied in cities such as: Belém, Belo Horizonte, Natal, Porto Alegre, Recife, Brasília, Ribeirão Preto, Campinas, Rio de Janeiro, Campo Grande, São José, Cuiabá, Curitiba, Fortaleza, São José from Rio Preto, Goiânia, Juiz de Fora, São Luís, São Paulo, Teresina, Londrina, Vitória and Manaus.

Understand how the ITA 2023 selection process will work

The first phase of the selection process, scheduled for October 16, will have 60 objective questions in Physics, English, Portuguese and Chemistry, where each discipline will have 12 questions.

The second phase, which is expected to take place between the 08th and 09th of November, will have a test of 30 essay questions in the disciplines of Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry, in addition to an essay.

Each subject will have 10 questions. In the third phase of the process, candidates will undergo a health inspection, which assesses their physical conditions to participate in Air Force training. It is important to point out that candidates need to take a Portuguese language test.
