Model That Combines Fuel Economy, Technology, and Affordable Price Promises to Transform Urban Mobility by 2025, Becoming a Practical Option for Different Profiles of Brazilian Motorcyclists.
The Brazilian motorcycle market has seen an intensification in the search for economic, technological, and affordable models, responding to a growing demand for efficient urban mobility and low operational costs.
Among the options that stand out in this scenario is the Shineray Jet 125SS, which, for less than R$ 10,000, offers a series of innovative features previously restricted to upper categories, combining performance, economy, and cutting-edge technology.
The main attraction of the Shineray Jet 125SS is its low fuel consumption.
-
With 122 hp, fuel consumption of up to 17.7 km/l, and a trunk capacity of 440 liters, this hybrid SUV impresses even though it costs up to R$ 47,000 more than the Yaris — meet the Toyota Corolla Cross.
-
600 km with three Chinese plug-in SUVs, same mode and air conditioning on: Jaecoo 7, BYD Song Plus, and Haval H6 hit the road, and the pump reveals who was truly the most economical.
-
With a price almost R$ 100 thousand lower, the Haval H9 surpasses the SW4 for the first time in March, but Toyota still leads in the accumulated total for 2026; the Chinese SUV bets on technology and premium finishing to compete at the top.
-
6 used cars that cost less than a new Honda CG 160 Titan and still provide trunk space, four seats, and comfort that many new motorcycles cannot offer.
The model can travel up to 130 km with just 3 liters, especially in its version equipped with electronic fuel injection, providing remarkable autonomy for those who rely on the motorcycle as a primary mode of transport in large cities.
The manufacturer informs that, with a 3-liter tank, the EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection) version achieves an autonomy of approximately 135 km, while the carbureted version reaches about 114 km, figures that reinforce the vehicle’s appeal to consumers concerned with budget and the environment.
Embedded Technology and Innovative Features
In addition to its economic performance, the Jet 125SS bets on advanced technologies, despite being one of the most accessible models in the segment.

Among the main highlights are the fully digital dashboard, LED headlights and taillights, electric start, alloy wheels, combined braking system (CBS), and USB port for charging mobile devices, adding value to daily use and enhancing practicality.
These features, combined with the vehicle’s lightness — only 90 kg in the EFI version and 106 kg in the carbureted version — make the model attractive for both novice motorcyclists and those needing agility in heavy traffic.
Performance and Technical Characteristics
The Jet 125SS features a single-cylinder four-stroke engine, OHC (Overhead Camshaft) valve control, and air cooling, with a displacement of 123.67 cm³.
The power varies by configuration: 7.2 horsepower at 7,500 rpm in the carbureted version and up to 8 horsepower at the same rpm in the electronic injection version.
The torque, a crucial factor for quick acceleration and better performance on climbs, is 8 Nm at 6,000 rpm in the carbureted option and can reach 9 Nm at 6,000 rpm in the EFI.
The semi-automatic four-speed transmission with centrifugal clutch is designed for ease of urban use, making the rider’s daily experience more comfortable and intuitive.
Economic Motorcycle: Cost-Benefit Versus Competition
In comparison with direct competitors, the cost-benefit of the Jet 125SS stands out.
Models such as the Honda CG 160, a reference in the segment, have prices over R$ 15,000, reaching R$ 18,200 in some versions, and larger tank capacity (14 liters), but fall short in accessibility and technological features when compared to the Shineray Jet 125SS.
The carbureted version of the Jet 125SS starts at R$ 9,290, becoming a relevant alternative, especially for those looking for an economic motorcycle equipped without giving up on reduced initial investment.
Safety and Comfort in Urban Use

In terms of safety, the Jet 125SS features alloy wheels, a 220 mm hydraulic disc brake in the front and a 111 mm drum brake in the rear, along with front suspension with telescopic fork and rear bi-shock suspension, characteristics that enhance stability and comfort in short to medium urban routes.
The maximum load capacity of 150 kg expands the range of uses, allowing for the transport of light loads or a passenger without compromising performance.
Practicality and Ease of Maintenance
The Shineray Jet 125SS’s proposition also includes important practicality details for urban audiences, such as storage compartment under the seat for small items, front hook for bags, and rear grab bars, which facilitate passenger transport.
The simplified maintenance, typical of low-displacement motorcycles, reduces recurring costs and contributes to the model’s durability, an aspect valued especially by those who rely on the bike for work or daily commuting.
Two Versions, Two Profiles of Motorcyclists
The launch of both carbureted and EFI versions of the Jet 125SS caters to different user profiles.
The EFI, with electronic injection, is recommended for those who prioritize maximum fuel economy and seek quick throttle responses, as well as lower emissions and greater energy efficiency — increasingly relevant issues in the context of urban mobility and public sustainability policies.
The carbureted version stands out for its lower entry price and still offers an interesting set of technologies without sacrificing robustness.
Differentials in Safety and Mobility
Another important differential is the presence of the CBS braking system, which distributes braking force between the front and rear wheels, increasing safety, especially in emergency situations.
This feature, combined with the reduced weight and ease of handling, makes the Jet 125SS a practical and versatile option, especially for those circulating in busy urban centers and needing agility to navigate traffic jams.
Economic Motorcycle with Competitive Price in 2025
The significantly lower initial investment compared to direct rivals allows consumers to allocate part of their budget to safety items or maintenance, making the acquisition of the Jet 125SS even more strategic for those seeking real savings in their daily lives.
The costs for servicing and parts replacement follow the standards of low-displacement motorcycles, which are traditionally recognized for their ease of maintenance and low operational costs.
According to prices practiced in July 2025, the Jet 125SS presents values between R$ 9,290 and R$ 9,490 for the carbureted version and R$ 10,790 to R$ 12,990 for the EFI version.
These prices reinforce Shineray’s proposal to broaden access to two-wheeled mobility, bringing technological resources to the entry-level segment that, until recently, were restricted to higher-value models.
