New Company Invests R$ 25 Million in Poços de Caldas, Creates 190 Jobs and Is Expected to Generate R$ 31 Million in Taxes with Operations Starting in 2028.
The arrival of a new company in the Industrial District of Poços de Caldas marks one of the most significant movements in the municipal economy in recent years. The City Hall, through the Secretariat of Economic Development and Innovation, confirmed on Wednesday (12) the establishment of the unit, which represents a private investment of R$ 25 million, an expected R$ 31 million in taxes over the coming years, and the creation of 190 direct jobs, reinforcing the strategic role of southern Minas in the Brazilian industrial landscape.
The numbers reinforce a scenario of consistent expansion. With an estimated annual revenue of R$ 8.3 million, the new plant arrives at a time of reconfiguration of logistics and industrial distribution in the country. The company — whose name is expected to be officially announced soon — already has an operational unit with 340 employees and is now moving toward a process of productive decentralization, expanding geographical presence and diversifying shipping routes.
A Large Industrial Structure to Serve Several Regions of the Country
The project foresees a total area of approximately 44 thousand square meters, with buildings ranging from 20 thousand to 25 thousand square meters. It is one of the largest recent manufacturing structures installed in the municipality, reinforcing the production potential of the new enterprise.

The first phase of construction is expected to begin in 2026, with planned operations for 2028. The initial phase will involve hiring 70 employees, a number that is expected to expand until it reaches the 190 direct jobs projected by the company.
According to the City Hall, the new unit will have a strategic role within the company’s logistics chain: the current plant will continue to serve Minas Gerais and other regions, while the Poços de Caldas factory will focus on supplying São Paulo, Paraná, Santa Catarina, and Rio Grande do Sul, expanding commercial reach and reducing delivery time.
Why Poços de Caldas: Infrastructure, Logistics, and Business-Friendly Environment
According to the Secretariat of Economic Development, the choice of the municipality was guided by a set of factors that place Poços de Caldas among the most attractive industrial destinations in the Southeast:
The city offers consolidated infrastructure, with easy access to strategic highways, qualified labor, a complete service network, and structural conditions compatible with high-capacity industrial operations.
In addition, indicators of public safety above the regional average and municipal policies aimed at reducing bureaucracy and incentivizing investment influenced the decision.
The company evaluated other municipalities before making the final choice, including cities in the interior of São Paulo. However, it opted for Poços de Caldas due to the combination of logistics, operational cost, availability of adequate area, and a regulatory environment considered more favorable.
A Movement That Strengthens Minas Gerais in the National Industrial Map
The establishment of this new unit reinforces the consolidation of Minas Gerais as one of the most competitive industrial states in the country. The state is historically relevant for its metallurgical, steel, food, and technology base, and now expands its participation in productive segments that require modernization and distribution capacity.
For Poços de Caldas, the economic impact will be both immediate and long-term. In addition to direct jobs, the enterprise is expected to stimulate the entire local service chain, including transportation, industrial maintenance, food, construction, and supply of inputs, generating a multiplier effect on the urban economy.
The projection of R$ 31 million in future revenue reinforces the potential for financial return to the municipality, allowing for the expansion of investments in infrastructure, technology, and public policies.
The Local Economy Watches with Anticipation for a New Phase of Expansion
With construction expected to start in 2026, the announcement marks the beginning of a three-year cycle until the start of production. In the business environment and the public sector, the expectation is that the project will become a reference for productivity, innovation, and logistical integration in southern Minas.
The company, which already operates in another state and maintains a team of over 300 employees, is preparing for an expansion phase that should establish it as a supplier for a significant part of the Southeast and South of the country.
For Poços de Caldas, the new unit represents more than an investment: it symbolizes the confidence of large companies in the municipality’s ability to host robust and highly structured industrial operations.
In the coming months, more details are expected to be released by the City Hall, including regulatory steps, licensing, and production targets.
