New Giant Competitors of Correios: Uber and Loggi Expand Package Shipping in Brazil. Partnership Between Companies Promises Fast and Trackable Deliveries, Pressuring the National Logistics Market
The Brazilian logistics market gains two new giant competitors of Correios. Uber and Loggi launched, in São Paulo, a joint national package shipping service, promising agility and less bureaucracy. The operation eliminates the need to travel to collection points, as the pickup is made directly at the customer’s address.
The service, named National Shipping, integrates Uber’s platform with Loggi’s logistics network, which already reaches over 5,500 municipalities. The expansion begins in the capital São Paulo, with expectation to reach around 10 million users and expand to other cities in the coming months.
How The New Service Works
Through the Uber app, the customer requests package shipping and tracks the entire process in real-time, with delivery estimates similar to the experience of passenger rides. Pickup, distribution, and delivery are handled by Loggi.
-
Airfare prices may rise with increasing fuel costs, and the government is considering urgent measures to avoid a direct impact on the wallets of Brazilians.
-
Chocolate prices soar nearly 15% and become a luxury item for Easter 2026, with increases surpassing inflation and changes in Brazilian consumption habits.
-
The Federal Revenue issues a good alert for Brazilian taxpayers: 60.9% are already using the pre-filled tax return, automatic refunds via Pix reach millions, and the government plans for a fully automated income tax in the coming years.
-
India announces a plan of $3.06 billion to bring aviation to forgotten regions: 100 new airports, $1.07 billion in subsidies, and regional routes guaranteed for 10 years, from 2026 to 2036, away from the centers.
Accepted items include clothes, cosmetics, sports gear, toys, books, electronics, and pet products. Customer service is provided by an artificial intelligence system, Lori, and when necessary, by human teams.
Impact on Correios and the Market
The entry of Uber and Loggi into this segment increases pressure on Correios, which already faces competition from private carriers and marketplaces with their own logistics. The main difference lies in convenience, with onsite pickups and technological integration that facilitates tracking.
Experts point out that the initiative could force an acceleration in the modernization of traditional postal services, especially in consumer service and the digitization of processes.
Testing and Expansion
The partnership has been tested since June in Campinas (SP) and Curitiba (PR). According to Loggi’s Vice President of Customers and Revenues, Viviane Sales, the combination of the companies’ expertise “allows for fast solutions, with quality and efficiency in shipping packages for anyone or any business.”
The goal is to bring the model to new capitals and metropolitan areas, prioritizing regions with high demand and established logistics infrastructure.
Is It Worth It for the Consumer?
For those seeking speed, traceability, and convenience, the new alternative may be appealing. However, factors such as price, actual coverage in remote areas, and reliability in delivery times will be decisive for widespread adoption.
With Uber and Loggi’s movement, the consumer gains more options, but will also need to compare costs and delivery times with those already offered by Correios and other carriers.
And you, do you believe that these new giant competitors of Correios will change the delivery market in Brazil? Have you tried or would you try this service? Share your opinion in the comments.
