The Federal Institute of Mato Grosso do Sul (IFMS) has opened applications to fill 120 free spots in the in-person specialization in Teaching for Professional, Scientific, and Technological Education, with classes scheduled for the first semester of 2026.
These opportunities are equally distributed among three campuses: Campo Grande, Nova Andradina, and Ponta Porã, with 40 spots at each unit.
The applications are free and will be open from January 5 to January 31, 2026, according to the selection process schedule.

Free Specialization from IFMS in 2026
The graduate program is of the lato sensu type and focuses on training for teaching aimed at professional and technological education.
In this specific selection, IFMS consolidates the classes from Campo Grande, Nova Andradina, and Ponta Porã in its own notice, with in-person classes in the evening and also on Saturdays, depending on the chosen campus.
The expected workload is 360 hours of activities, plus 60 hours dedicated to the final thesis, with an estimated duration of 12 to 18 months, according to the academic organization of the course.

The classes will be held in person, and the candidate needs to choose a campus at the time of registration.

In Ponta Porã, the campus is located on Rodovia BR-463, kilometer 14, with no number.
Days and Times of Classes by Campus
The days and times of classes vary according to the unit chosen by the candidate.
In Campo Grande, classes take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 7 PM to 10 PM.
In Nova Andradina, meetings occur on Fridays, from 6:50 PM to 10:45 PM, and on Saturdays, from 7 AM to 11:45 AM.
At the Ponta Porã campus, the format is similar to that of Nova Andradina, with classes on Fridays, from 6:50 PM to 10:45 PM, and on Saturdays, from 7 AM to 11:45 AM.
Who Can Apply for the Specialization
Graduates from any field can apply, provided they have completed a higher education course recognized by the Ministry of Education.
Additionally, it is necessary to fulfill all formal requirements of the notice, including careful reading of the rules and correct submission of the information requested in the application system.
In this offer with 120 spots, aimed at the three mentioned campuses, the selection takes place by electronic lottery among candidates who have their applications approved.
IFMS also informs that half of the spots for general competition are reserved for institution employees, according to internal rules adopted in their graduate selection processes.
There are also provisions for reserved spots for Black, Brown, and Indigenous candidates and for people with disabilities, whose percentages must be checked directly in the official notice.
