Solar Energy Project Installed by Evolve at the Câmara de Guaíra Reduces Public Costs, Strengthens Sustainability, and Expands the Use of Renewable Sources in the Interior of São Paulo.

The adoption of solar energy in public buildings continues to gain momentum in the interior of São Paulo. In Guaíra, the City Council has joined this movement by completing the installation of a photovoltaic system at its headquarters in December. The project was executed by Evolve, a network specialized in solar energy, and is already showing a direct impact on reducing costs for the local Legislative.

In total, 40 photovoltaic panels were installed on the roof of the building. The work was completed in just ten days, demonstrating the agility of the distributed generation model applied to public structures. The expectation is an estimated annual savings of R$ 30,000 for the municipality’s coffers, a value that can be redirected to other priority areas.

Project Combines Sustainability and Energy Efficiency

Aside from the financial impact, the project reinforces the sustainability strategy adopted by the city. Solar energy significantly reduces dependence on the conventional electric grid and, in some cases, can decrease the electricity bill by up to 95%, depending on the consumption profile of the building.

In this context, initiatives like Guaíra’s also serve as a showcase for the population. The installation in a public building increases the visibility of the technology and contributes to the dissemination of information about the economic and environmental benefits of solar energy.

Incentive for Awareness About Renewable Sources

According to Gabriel Ferrari, founder and CEO of Evolve, the project goes beyond immediate savings. “We are happy to participate in this important project for Guaíra. Renewable energy is a reality that has come to add value. With this project at the City Council, we also promote a stimulus and incentive for people to become aware of the benefits of renewable energy,” he comments.

This statement reflects a trend observed in several Brazilian municipalities, where the public authority is beginning to act as a driving force in the energy transition, stimulating the adoption of clean solutions in the private sector as well.

Brazil is Highlighting the Use of Clean Energy

The advancement of solar energy in Guaíra aligns with the national scenario. Currently, about 85% of the Brazilian electric matrix is made up of renewable sources, a percentage much higher than the global average, which is around 30%. This performance places Brazil in a prominent position in the global debate on clean energy and energy transition.

Within this context, solar energy consolidates itself as one of the sources with the greatest growth potential, due to the wide availability of solar radiation, the reduction in equipment costs, and the ease of installation on rooftops and urban areas.

Evolve’s Experience Reinforces Sector Expansion

With over 2,000 photovoltaic energy projects in its history, Evolve operates in both public and private works, following the expansion of the solar market in the country. The company has increased its presence in medium and small municipalities where the search for energy efficiency and predictability of expenses has become a priority.

According to Gabriel Ferrari, investing in solar energy means thinking about the future of the Brazilian electrical system. “Our focus is to accelerate the energy transformation in Brazil, contributing to the construction of a more sustainable, efficient, and resilient model in the long term. We believe that expanding the use of renewable sources is essential to reduce costs, increase energy security, and minimize environmental impacts,” he states.

According to the executive, this movement also strengthens the country’s competitiveness, stimulates innovation in the electricity sector, and strategically positions Brazil in the face of global challenges related to climate and economic development.
