Located Near the Famous Pyramids of Giza, the Grand Egyptian Museum Is a Monumental Work That Took 21 Years to Complete. This Impressive Museum Was Created to House Over 100,000 Artifacts, Including Some of the Most Important Mummies in the History of Egypt.
The construction of the Grand Egyptian Museum began in 2002, when former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak laid the project’s foundation stone. The idea was to create a museum that was as majestic as Egypt’s rich ancient history. The chosen location is just 2 km from the Giza Pyramids complex, offering a spectacular view.
