Biomethane Hilux debuts in Brazil during Agrishow 2025; Toyota showcases solutions to reduce emissions in the field.
Toyota is strategically present at Agrishow 2025, which takes place from April 28 to May 2, in Ribeirão Preto (SP), with a new feature that promises to shake up the sector: the public debut of the Hilux prototype with a biomethane engine.
This innovation reflects the investment of the automaker in sustainable and viable solutions for the Brazilian countryside, while strengthening its presence in the national agribusiness — a sector in constant growth and with a direct impact on the economy.
Biomethane as a response to the challenge of sustainable mobility
The experimental version of the Hilux with an engine fueled by biomethane is Toyota's bet to reduce carbon emissions without giving up the pickup's already known robustness and reliability.

Biomethane, derived from biogas generated from organic waste such as sugarcane, offers a clean and especially promising energy alternative for rural areas, as it can be produced locally through biodigesters or partner plants.
According to the president of Toyota Brazil, Evandro Maggio, the model represents an integration between technological innovation and the country's abundant renewable resources.
“The biomethane Hilux is yet another reflection of our commitment to sustainable mobility, integrating technology and Brazil’s renewable potential for the benefit of the environment and society as a whole,” he says.
Toyota expands portfolio and focuses on visitor experience
In addition to the debut of the biomethane Hilux, Toyota is bringing a stand full of options from its portfolio to Agrishow, focusing on the agricultural public. The highlight is vehicles that meet the needs of both the countryside and cities, with special conditions during the event.
Among the models on display at the brand's stand, visitors will be able to take a closer look at the Hilux SRX Plus, which will be available for test drives, as well as the Hilux Power Pack, designed especially for intense professional use in the field.
The space will also feature the Corolla GLi and the Corolla Cross XRX, both offered with exclusive discounts during the fair.
The SW4 reinforces its presence as a reference among large utility vehicles, while the RAV4, Toyota's global SUV with more than 10 million units sold worldwide, completes the portfolio available at Agrishow 2025.
The diversity of options reflects Toyota's efforts to meet the needs of different producer and consumer profiles, especially in times of fuel price adjustments and the search for more economical alternatives.
KINTO: mobility designed for the countryside
The fair will also serve as a stage for KINTO, Toyota's mobility division, which presents fleet management and vehicle rental solutions adapted to the rural environment.
Producers with active state registration will have access to exclusive conditions, facilitating access to the Toyota fleet without the need for direct purchase.
During all days of Agrishow, the stand will have a team of specialized consultants to provide:
- Detailed technical guidelines for each vehicle;
- Support in contracting financing and consortia;
- Personalized service focused on the demands of agribusiness.
The participation of the biomethane-powered Toyota Hilux at Agrishow 2025 confirms the automaker's strategic alignment with the agro-industrial sector, which is increasingly seeking sustainable solutions that are adaptable to the demands of the field.
