Hilux Powered by Biometano Debuts in Brazil at Agrishow 2025; Toyota Showcases Solutions to Reduce Emissions in Agriculture.
Toyota is making a strategic presence at Agrishow 2025, which takes place from April 28 to May 2 in Ribeirão Preto (SP), with a new offering that promises to shake up the sector: the public debut of the Hilux prototype powered by biometano.
This innovation reflects the investment by the automaker in sustainable and viable solutions for the Brazilian countryside, while also strengthening its role in the national agribusiness — a sector that is constantly growing and has a direct impact on the economy.
Biometano as a Response to the Challenge of Sustainable Mobility
The experimental version of the Hilux with a biometano engine is Toyota’s bet to reduce carbon emissions without compromising the robustness and reliability already known for the pickup.

Biometano, derived from biogas generated from organic waste such as sugarcane, offers a clean energy alternative that is especially promising for rural areas, as it can be produced locally through biodigesters or partner plants.
According to the president of Toyota Brazil, Evandro Maggio, the model represents an integration of technological innovation and the abundant renewable resources in the country.
“The Hilux powered by biometano is yet another reflection of our commitment to sustainable mobility, integrating technology and Brazil’s renewable potential for the benefit of the environment and society as a whole,” he states.
Toyota Expands Portfolio and Focuses on Visitor Experience
In addition to the debut of the Hilux powered by biometano, Toyota is bringing a stand filled with options from its portfolio, focusing on the agricultural audience. The highlight is on vehicles that meet the needs of both the countryside and urban areas, with special conditions during the event.
Among the models displayed at the brand’s stand, visitors will be able to closely see the Hilux SRX Plus, which will be available for test drives, in addition to the Hilux Power Pack, designed specifically for intense professional use in the field.
The space will also feature the Corolla GLi and Corolla Cross XRX, both offered with exclusive discounts during the fair.
The SW4 reinforces its presence as a benchmark among large utility vehicles, while the RAV4, Toyota’s global SUV with over 10 million units sold worldwide, rounds out the portfolio available at Agrishow 2025.
The variety of options reflects Toyota’s effort to meet different profiles of producers and consumers, especially in times of fuel price adjustments and the search for more economical alternatives.
KINTO: Mobility Designed for the Countryside
The fair will also serve as a stage for KINTO, Toyota’s mobility division, which presents fleet management and vehicle rental solutions tailored for rural environments.
Producers with active state registration will have access to exclusive conditions, facilitating access to the Toyota fleet without the need for direct purchase.
Throughout all days of Agrishow, the stand will feature a team of specialized consultants to provide:
