Chinese Motorcycles Like Voge, Zontes, and QJMotor Conquer Highlight Positions and Change the Balance in the Spanish Two-Wheel Market

The Spanish two-wheeler vehicle market is experiencing a historic moment. In July, the sector recorded a growth of +22.4% compared to the same period last year, according to data from ANESDOR. But the most important thing is the turnaround on the podium: the Chinese motorcycles, which were once seen as exotic, now dominate the ranking and have become the protagonists.

Accelerated Advance of Chinese Brands

Brands like Voge, Zontes, and QJMotor have transitioned from being little-known alternatives to occupying highlight positions among the best-selling in the country.

Voge, for example, reached the third position in July, with 2,668 registrations and an impressive growth of +251.5% compared to the same month in 2023.

Zontes also recorded a notable advance: 1,997 units were registered, an increase of +70.7%. QJMotor surprised with a rise of +179.5% in the same period.

Therefore, the numbers show an advance that seemed unlikely just a few years ago.

Yearly Accumulated Growth

In addition to the monthly result, the yearly accumulated data confirms the trend. Voge and Zontes have already surpassed historical brands like Kymco and BMW, occupying the third and fourth places in the overall ranking.

QJMotor entered the top 10 for the first time, with 3,752 units sold and a growth of +122.9%.

This performance isn’t happening by chance. The brands are betting on competitive prices, modern design, technological equipment, and a focus on the segments with the highest sales, such as trail and scooter.

Models Driving the Turnaround

Among the best-selling models, the Zontes 368 G stands out as the third most sold throughout Spain.

There were over 4,400 units, a significant growth of +529.1%. The Voge 900 DSX emerged as the best-selling non-scooter motorcycle in July, surpassing established Japanese rivals in the market.

Moreover, these numbers reinforce the Chinese strategy to compete directly with traditional leaders.

It’s no longer just about price, but performance, aesthetics, and technology capable of competing on equal terms.

Paradigm Shift

The Spanish market, historically dominated by Honda, Yamaha, and Piaggio, is making definitive space for Chinese ascendance.

Because, if there was previously skepticism about quality and durability, the July data makes it clear: the Chinese are here to stay.

The remainder of the year is likely to maintain the same upward trajectory. Therefore, Chinese brands are no longer supporting actors.

They already occupy a leadership position in a scenario where even the best-selling car, the Dacia Sandero, records 20,366 units.
