- Prerequisites: Experience with maintenance on engines, compressors and propellers, pumps, purifiers, winches and shaft lines; Experience with the disassembly and assembly of pipes and valves; Knowledge of open and closed refrigeration systems for vessels; Technical in Mechanics; Mandatory to have NR-35 course – Work at Heights; Mandatory to have NR-12 course – Safety in Machinery and Equipment Work.
- Main Responsibilities: Perform repairs on hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems to conserve the proper operation of onboard equipment; Outline the materials for necessary maintenance; Develop and repair support equipment for Tugboat bases such as supports, accesses, ladders, etc.; Keep equipment in perfect condition, following standards and procedures for their safe and proper functioning; Disassemble, repair, lubricate and replace equipment or components; Conduct diagnostics on damaged equipment; Test equipment after maintenance performed; Carry out preventive inspection plans.
