Tesla Leads Global Ranking with US$ 1.04 Trillion and Leaves Toyota, BYD, and Even Ferrari Behind in Market Value
Tesla reached a new milestone in 2025. The company founded by Elon Musk is now the most valuable car brand in the world, according to data released by Forbes magazine on Friday (27). Valued at US$ 1.04 trillion, equivalent to R$ 5.70 trillion in direct conversion, Tesla is worth almost five times more than the second-place brand on the list.
The Japanese automaker Toyota, known for its reliability and long tradition in the sector, comes in second place with a market value of US$ 229.3 billion, or R$ 1.25 trillion. Even being a giant in the automotive industry, the gap in relation to Tesla is significant.
Tesla: Criticism of the Robotaxi
Despite the leadership, Tesla’s image has suffered setbacks recently. The company was criticized following the start of tests with its robotaxis in Austin, Texas.

Even with only two electric models launched so far, the company achieved a market value of US$ 178.8 billion, about R$ 979.1 billion.
Xiaomi surpassed established brands like Ferrari, Mercedes-Benz, and BMW, attracting attention for its rapid growth in a highly competitive sector.
Ranking Includes BYD, Ferrari, and Other Giants
In fourth place is the Chinese BYD, which is already among the top five brands selling cars in Brazil. With a value of US$ 142.9 billion, the manufacturer is ahead of Ferrari, which occupies the fifth place with US$ 87 billion.
The ranking also includes Mercedes-Benz (US$ 55.8 billion), BMW (US$ 54.7 billion), Volkswagen (US$ 53.3 billion), General Motors (US$ 47.9 billion), and Maruti Suzuki from India (US$ 46.5 billion).
