In October, a second order was placed for about 73 km (45 mi) of mechanically clad BuBi pipes (10 inch OD) and 4,200 m (13,779 feet) of metallurgically coated pipes (14 inch OD). The pipes were ordered in a combination of carbon-manganese steel and corrosion-resistant alloy materials.

According to Subsea 7, the use of clad materials in pipe manufacturing combines the strength and toughness properties of carbon-manganese steels with the corrosion resistance of stainless steels. Located about 185 km (115 miles) off the coast of São Paulo, the Bacalhau oil field is in the pre-salt of the Santos Basin at approximately 2,050 m (6,726 feet) of water.

Trainee | ROV Pilot – 20 positions – Start in 2021

Among the planned activities are: Performing auxiliary support services to offshore ROV systems, following safety regulations on board vessels or platforms; Monitoring and carrying out, in simple situations, operations and maintenance on the equipment, allowing for learning regarding operational procedures.
