Taking a Free English Course Offered by a Federal Government Agency Is a Way to Enhance Your Resume and Attract More Companies Interested in Hiring the Student Profile.

The National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC), part of the federal government, has at least 2,000 spots for an English course with registration open until August 15. The registrations are completely online and the course Aviation English Level 3 for Civil Aviation Professionals will guarantee students access to the completion certificate.

According to the information on the GOV website, classes are expected to start from the 25th of this month and may be extended until September 23, 2022. Additionally, only registrations made through this link will be accepted, meaning those that occur on the ANAC website itself.

The institution has also prepared a  Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) that assists students interested in participating but who have questions about how the course will be provided. The FAQ is available via a PDF with questions and answers and has 4 pages.

English Course Is Based on Aviation Technicalities and Will Contribute to Reading Texts and Interpreting Phrases in the Field

It is worth noting that the English course provided by ANAC is focused on the technical aspects of aviation. Therefore, only candidates with an interest in the field who wish to learn about concepts and text interpretation should participate. The course is conducted entirely online and at a distance, so people from all over Brazil can participate. Some topics that will be covered throughout the course include:

  • Aviation Jobs
  •  Safety
  • The Aircraft
  • Aerodrome Traffic Circuit
  •  Meteorological Conditions
  •  Emergencies
  • Aviation Instruments
  •  The Airport and Phraseology

Between 2020 and 2021, this English course received an award from the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) for being one of the online courses with the highest number of students accessing worldwide. The award plaque was presented in Turkey during the symposium held on June 28, 2022.

FAQ: Some Questions and Answers About the Online Course

See below for some questions and answers about the English and aviation course.

What Is the Approval Criterion and Certificate Issuance for the Free English Course?

At the end of each phase of the online and free English course, candidates will have access to a test called “Progress Test.” This test will last an average of 45 minutes and, ultimately, upon completing all phases, there will be a final test lasting 1 hour covering all learned content.

It is important for candidates to achieve a score of 80 or higher. If this average is not reached, they will not be entitled to a completion certificate.

How Do I Know If I Passed? Can I Issue the Certificate Early If I Finish the Course Before the Deadline?

If you have completed all necessary activities and scored an average higher than 80 on the Media Mastery (final one-hour test), it means that your profile has been approved and you may request the completion certificate.  If you finish the course before its final deadline (09/23), you must wait for the final deadline day to issue your certificate, just like all other students.

The Certificate Was Issued with the Wrong Name, What Now?

If the certificate is issued with the wrong name, you can issue it again by simply updating the name and surname fields in your profile.
