The information was disclosed this Monday (6) during a press conference organized by Atout France Brazil by the regional VP of Air France-KLM, Manuel Flahault. According to Flahault, the total capacity of flights between Brazil and Europe (France/Netherlands) in the second half of 2023 will be 95% to 100%, reaching pre-pandemic levels.

The company will offer 14 weekly frequencies São Paulo – Paris; 7 weekly frequencies Rio de Janeiro – Paris; 3 weekly frequencies Fortaleza – Paris; 7 weekly frequencies São Paulo – Amsterdam; 7 weekly frequencies Rio de Janeiro – Amsterdam; and one weekly flight Belém-Cayenne starting May 5.

Flahault also highlighted improvements in the passenger experience, such as the new Business cabin in operation in Rio de Janeiro, new chefs signing the company’s menu this year (Amandine Chaignot, Mauro Colagreco, Thierry Marx, Angelo Musa and Olivier Perret), new lounges to welcome customers during boarding, investment in SAF, fleet renewal, and more responsible catering.

Air France and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines Merged in May 2004 to Form the Largest Airline Group in Europe, with 548 Aircraft and 318 Destinations in 118 Countries.

Members of the joint Air France KLM frequent flyer program, Flying Blue, earn miles and receive rewards on routes from both airlines. Air France KLM shares are listed on the Amsterdam and Paris stock exchanges.

KLM was founded in 1919 and is the oldest airline in operation under its original name. In 1989, it created a joint venture with Northwest Airlines (NWA) and acquired a stake in Kenya Airways in 1996. Amsterdam Schiphol Airport is its base.

Air France was founded in 1933. It incorporated UTA (Union des Transports Aériens) in 1990 and merged with Air Inter in 1997. Later, it joined Delta Air Lines, Aeromexico, and Korean Air to launch the SkyTeam alliance. Its main hub is located at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport, which is number 1 in Europe in terms of connections.
