The Project Developed by Aker Was Delivered to Petrobras for Pre-Salt Exploration
Aker Solutions, a Norwegian company, delivered the last of 60 sets of subsea trees for pre-salt exploration to Petrobras. The project is FA 2011 60 XMT and this marks the completion of the company’s largest project in Brazil.

Aker Solutions entered into an agreement with Petrobras to supply subsea equipment for the development of pre-salt fields in deep water in Brazil in March 2013.

The so-called FA 2011 project saw Aker Solutions deliver the first of sixty subsea trees to Petrobras in July 2015.
“The FA 2011 was a project of major milestones, from the first delivery ahead of schedule to the finish, manufacturing with reduced labor capacity due to the pandemic,” said Aker Solutions.
This agreement led to the largest investment and expansion of Aker Solutions in Brazil.
The company established a new subsea factory in Curitiba, Paraná, 800 kilometers south of Rio de Janeiro. This technology center replaced the current plant and was officially inaugurated in April 2016, employing about 850 people.
