The so-called FA 2011 project saw Aker Solutions deliver the first of sixty subsea trees to Petrobras in July 2015.

This agreement led to the largest investment and expansion of Aker Solutions in Brazil.
The company established a new subsea factory in Curitiba, Paraná, 800 kilometers south of Rio de Janeiro. This technology center replaced the current plant and was officially inaugurated in April 2016, employing about 850 people.
