The CNG received a new increase in Niterói according to data released by the ANP. Some app drivers are concerned about the increase, but for now, CNG is still one of the best allies of consumers when it comes to filling up

The high cost for consumers to supply fuel generates a huge impact on the Brazilian budget, especially for app drivers, taxi drivers and delivery people who use cars or motorcycles as a work tool. Several app drivers, freight, transport cars and other workers find in CNG a way to escape the constant increase in Gasoline, Diesel and Ethanol. However, according to National Agency for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) the account may also end up being more expensive for those who supply CNG in Niterói.

ANP claims that CNG was raised by R$ 4 in Niterói

The average value of CNG in Niterói according to the most recent weekly survey published by the ANP is R$ 3,97, reaching R$ 3,99 in some parts of the city. The average price of ethanol in Niterói, according to the ANP, is R$5,55, reaching R$6,29 in some parts of the city.

Regular gasoline costs an average of R$ 6,56 according to the ANP, reaching R$ 6,99 for consumers in Niterói. Diesel has an average price of R$ 4,64, and may reach consumers at a price of R$ 4,69. These data were provided by the ANP between the 12th and 18th of September.

Despite the increase, CNG is still one of the best options

Despite the increase in CNG shown by the ANP, the fuel remains the best option for consumers not only in Niterói. Paraíba drivers also realize savings that can reach R$ 700 reais per month.

This month, PBGás carried out a survey that shows that the average price of gasoline at some stations in the capital is R$ 5,88, while the value of CNG is only R$ 4,15. As well as being a huge difference in price, there is also a huge difference in terms of efficiency and performance.

Application drivers who run 3 km per month on gasoline, spend R$ 1.648, whereas those using gas, spend only R$ 943. According to the company's director, Jailson Galvão, this is a huge saving for apps, who need to take longer trips and use the car as a way to guarantee income at home.

Other forms of supply gain autonomy, such as CNG

In addition to CNG having a great price, another gas that has gained popularity is biogas, known as CNG. Owner of gas stations in Rio de Janeiro, Wallace Reis, says he started selling CNG about a year ago, due to its high efficiency.

According to the owner, several customers do not realize they are using CNG, as it is similar to CNG, and he also states that customers always return after noticing good results in autonomy and performance.

Another great advantage of CNG is its safety level, which is much higher than other fuels. Because it is lighter than air, in case of leakage, it can be easily dissipated, reducing the chances of fire or explosions. To get an idea, biogas ignites at 320°C more than gasoline.
