Project Led by Paulo Octávio Will Begin Construction in July and Is Part of a Package of New Investments in the Construction Sector.
Businessman Paulo Octávio, president of Lide Brasília, officially announced the construction of a new shopping center in Planaltina, in the Federal District. The announcement was made during participation in the CB.Poder program, conducted in partnership between the newspaper Correio Braziliense and TV Brasília, broadcasted on Friday (18).
The construction of the new shopping center, recently approved with the issuance of the permit, is the result of a planning process that lasted almost a decade. “We finally managed to approve the shopping center and the permit to build it. I wanted to do this for a long time, but projects often take a long time. This one took almost ten years,” said Paulo Octávio during the interview.
Construction Begins in July and the Project Promises to Revitalize Planaltina
The expectation is that the construction of the new shopping center in Planaltina will begin in July. The project is seen as a gift to the city, according to the businessman.

“It will be a gift for Planaltina, which today organizes the traditional Via Sacra. I really like the city and hope this good news will be an inspiration for the local community,” he added.
The new shopping center reinforces PaulOOctavio’s presence in the construction sector in the Federal District and is expected to boost trade, leisure, and job creation in one of the oldest administrative regions of the federal capital.
Real Estate Expansion Includes Other Projects in the Federal District
Besides the new shopping center in Planaltina, Paulo Octávio confirmed the inauguration of another project in 2025: the Manhattan Shopping, in Águas Claras. The inauguration is scheduled for November, with the goal of allowing stores to open before Christmas.
“The project is beautiful and will be spectacular. It will greatly enhance the community of Águas Claras, with new restaurants, a very cool mix, and commercial, residential towers, and even a hotel. It will be memorable,” commented the businessman, who also invited the public to the inauguration.
The expansion of the business is part of the company’s preparation for its 50th anniversary, which will be celebrated in 2025. According to Paulo Octávio, the projects have been planned over the past few years.
“Without future projects, a company cannot advance. In the construction sector, you buy land, design, get government approval, and that takes years. There are projects that have been in development for five years and are now coming to fruition,” he explained.
New Shopping Center Is Part of a Package with Other Construction Projects
In addition to the two shopping centers, the businessman revealed other projects planned for the coming months in the Federal District. Among them are:
- A building in the North Radio and TV Sector
- A residential project in Asa Norte
- Another tower in the Peninsula complex
These projects are part of the company’s tradition of announcing or inaugurating new developments on April 21, the anniversary of Brasília’s founding.
“Every year, on April 21, PaulOOctavio celebrates the date by doing some activity. This time, there are four,” said Paulo Octávio.
New Shopping Center Should Boost Local Economy
The construction of the new shopping center in Planaltina represents an important milestone for the region’s economy. The project will bring direct and indirect job opportunities, heat up the local real estate market, and expand options for services and leisure for residents.
The new shopping center promises to meet the growing demand from the local population for modern and integrated commercial spaces. With urban expansion and population growth in the administrative regions of the Federal District, projects like this become strategic to meet community needs and strengthen the retail sector.
Federal District Attracts New Investments in the Construction Sector
The Federal District has stood out for the number of new investments in the construction sector. The announcement of the new shopping center in Planaltina and other projects reinforces entrepreneurs’ confidence in the region’s economic potential.
For Paulo Octávio, the focus is on continuing to expand responsibly and with planning. “We are building the future based on what we have already experienced. The projects we are announcing are the result of planning and confidence in the Federal District,” he concluded.
The expectation is that the launches and inaugurations planned for the coming months will further consolidate the PaulOOctavio brand as one of the main players in the real estate sector of the country’s capital. The new shopping center in Planaltina will be, according to the businessman, a symbol of local development and another step towards the modernization of regional commerce.
