Volkswagen Surprises The World With The New Beetle Version – An Icon That Dominated The Streets For 24 Years, Transcending Generations And Borders
For decades, the world has fallen in love with the Beetle, one of the most iconic cars in automotive history, which transcended generations and borders, winning a special place in the hearts of Brazilians and automotive enthusiasts around the world. Volkswagen, one of the largest automakers in the world and famous for its rich heritage, has reignited the flames of passion for the “Fuscão,” and is dropping hints about the possible return of the Beetle, this time as an electric car.
The Beetle is a car that transcends generations and borders, capturing the hearts of over 23 million people worldwide. However, production of the classic model was halted in 2019 in the United States, leaving many fans disconsolate.

The company has already taken a bold step with the launch of the electric SUV ID.4 in Brazil, incorporating the same rear-engine layout that made the Beetle legendary. This not only lowers the center of gravity but also makes driving the car incredibly engaging.
Curious? Meet The New Version Of The Beetle – The Powerful Electric Beetle With Fast Charging Technology
The possibility of an electric Beetle is not entirely new. In 2014, Volkswagen presented the E-Bugster, a concept of a powerful electric Beetle with fast charging technology developed in collaboration with automotive giants such as Audi, BMW, Porsche, Ford, and GM. This car, based on the New Beetle, shared the length of the standard Beetle but had an increased width of 3 cm. The lowered roof to 1.4 meters improved aerodynamics, giving the vehicle a sporty appeal.
The head of design at Volkswagen at the time, Klaus Bischoff, confirmed in 2017 that the company was working on a project “for the future.” This only fueled speculation about the possible resurrection of the Beetle. With the evolution of electric technologies and the growing environmental awareness, the idea of a battery-powered Beetle seems not only possible but inevitable.
Another Beloved VW Icon, The Kombi, Also Received A Modern And Electric Version
The connection between the Beetle and Volkswagen’s latest electric models is undeniable. Both share the rear-engine concept, providing a unique and thrilling driving experience. While the automaker keeps its plans under wraps, it wouldn’t be such a surprise if the iconic silhouette of the Beetle returns to the roads, this time powered by batteries instead of fossil fuels.
But the Beetle is not alone on this journey of electric revolution. Another beloved Volkswagen model, the Kombi, is also being considered for a modern and electric version, known as ID.Buzz. This demonstrates Volkswagen’s determination to bring icons from the past into the future. The company is looking at its rich heritage not only as a legacy but as a springboard for exciting innovations.

The Embodiment Of The Iconic Volkswagen Beetle On Two Wheels: Man Builds Scooter With Fenders From The Old Beetle And Fondly Calls It Volkspods
What if we said that someone managed to capture the timeless charm of the Beetle and turn it into something even cuter? Well, builder Brent Walter did just that, using the fenders of an old Beetle to create two adorable little scooters, which he affectionately named “Volkspods.”
But, inspired by the timeless design of the Beetle, the Volkspods are not only visually charming, they also pack performance and are surprisingly practical. Volkswagen Wants To Sue Chinese Automaker For Shamelessly Making An Electric Copy Of The Iconic Beetle
The Chinese industry still has not shaken some old habits, and multinational Volkswagen is not flattered at all by the electric car manufacturer ORA, which is part of the Great Wall Motors group.
