John Cockerill’s Planning For Solar Energy Production In Macaé

On Thursday, the 3rd, during the inauguration ceremony of the 13,000 square meter plant housing the new solar energy production system installed by John Cockerill, located in Novo Cavaleiros, Mayor Welberth Rezende reported that the entirely positive prospects for Macaé in the coming years are based on the full confidence of national and international companies in the so-called ‘Energy City’.

The Mayor of Macaé also emphasized the importance of identifying the willingness of companies to collaborate with the city’s development cycle. Welberth states that identifying initiatives geared towards sustainability and environmental protection is the focus of the city hall’s planning, which aims to make the city economically stronger while ensuring the preservation of the entire existing ecosystem in Macaé.

Forecast For Activity Expansion In Macaé

Starting in the second half of 2022, John Cockerill will increasingly expand its presence in Macaé through its base located in Novo Cavaleiros, which will also record the production of 11 locomotives weighing 70 tons, a strategy created by the company to represent its confidence in generating a series of investments in the face of the new regional prosperity scenario.

The city hall has been quite optimistic regarding the growth prospects of John Cockerill and is opening up to other companies that wish to invest and generate jobs for Macaé.

The President of John Cockerill’s Worldwide Services Division, Franck Pasqualini, highlighted that Brazil is a very important country for the company’s strategy development, as well as representing the group’s first international development.
