This New Pioneering Project in Bahia Is Being Implemented at the Deputado Luís Eduardo Magalhães International Airport and Will Feature 11,000 Solar Panels

Bahia, January 2, 2020 – The Deputado Luís Eduardo Magalhães Airport in Salvador is installing a 4.2 MWp solar panel at the runway threshold to generate electricity for the terminal. The project involves an investment of around BRL 16 million (US $ 4 million / EUR 3.6 million) and will cover over 30% of the terminal’s energy needs, as well as reduce the airport’s carbon footprint by nearly one third.
