Bolsonaro Met With Representatives of the Port of Aratu in Salvador, Bahia, to Understand the Structural Needs of the Terminal and Development Opportunities

During his brief visit to Bahia, Bolsonaro took the opportunity to meet with representatives and understand the operational demands of the Port of Aratu. According to R7, the focus will be on the structural chain and economic development of the region through the Port Terminal.

About the Port of Aratu

Inaugurated in 1975, the Aratu-Candeias port complex is the port unit of the Bahia Complex with the highest cargo handling.

It is one of the most important outlets for the chemical and petrochemical production in the entire country.

Its area of influence extends to Sergipe, Alagoas, Western Pernambuco, and Eastern Minas Gerais, operating with four terminals for the handling of bulk solids, liquid, and gaseous products. This structure allows Aratu-Candeias to operate with a wide variety of products, simultaneously handling ores and chemical products.
