A new chapter is being written in the real estate history of Bahia, with a decisive role played by Cipasa Urbanismo. The company anticipates a major surge in the real estate sector due to the recent billion-dollar investments made by the Chinese automotive giant BYD in the region of Camaçari, located in the metropolitan area of Salvador (BA).

The prospect of injecting R$ 3 billion into the local economy by BYD has raised optimism in the region. Cipasa Urbanismo, which has a strong presence in Camaçari and has made significant investments in the area’s infrastructure, is expecting a wave of growth in the real estate sector.

In the last two years, the company invested around R$ 10 million in improving the road system in the Parafuso region. The establishment of BYD in Camaçari could further boost this upward trend. The Chinese automaker plans to generate approximately 5,000 jobs on-site, as announced at a recent event to confirm the construction of the factory.

“We observe this announcement with enthusiasm. This is highly beneficial for Camaçari, where we are developing the planned neighborhood Vivea Parque Joanes, as well as for the entire metropolitan area of Salvador,” said Rogério Riquelme, director of Cipasa Urbanismo.

Cipasa Urbanismo, specializing in the development of subdivisions and with projects in 23 states of Brazil, expects the new factory to have a significant impact on the local and regional market, directly benefiting the real estate sector, as was the case with Ford’s arrival in the region years ago.

Beyond automotive production, BYD plans to establish a battery factory in the region, demonstrating its global dominance in this segment. Bahia is about to embrace a complete cycle of production and renewable energy, starting with the manufacturing of components for the wind and solar industry in Camaçari and continuing with energy generation in wind and solar parks in the Baiano hinterland.

“The export of electric vehicles to all of South America, as well as batteries and photovoltaic panels, has the potential to generate even more prosperity and jobs for the region of Camaçari and cities near Salvador,” Riquelme concludes.
