The National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) recently confirmed the holding of a new public competition. According to information from Folha Dirigida, the bank revealed that the selection process will have 94 vacancies for positions at the middle and higher levels.
BNDES also confirmed that 40% of the positions will be reserved for quotas, with 30% allocated for black candidates and 10% for people with disabilities (PwDs). It is worth noting that these percentages are higher than the legal minimum of 10% and 5%, respectively.
Confirmed Information About the BNDES Competition
According to BNDES Advisory, the last competition took place in 2012, before the introduction of Law No. 12,990/2014, which refers to the reservation of vacancies for racial quotas. Therefore, the next selection process will be an inclusive initiative, seeking to promote diversity within the organization.

The last BNDES competition, held in 2012, was organized by the Cesgranrio Foundation. The announcement of the new selection process is expected to be published at the beginning of 2024.

According to the Salary and Position Proposal, an Administrative Support Technician has an initial salary of R$4,794.50, which can reach R$14,373.36 with career progressions. For a basic professional, the initial salary is R$15,048.69 per month, which can reach R$35,043.22.
In his inauguration speech in February, Aloizio Mercadante, the new president of BNDES, highlighted his intention to resume public competitions for the institution after more than a decade without them, emphasizing the inclusion of quotas.
Last BNDES Competition Happened Over 10 Years Ago
The last BNDES competition was held in 2012 and expired in mid-2015. It offered the opportunity for inclusion in a reserve list for positions at the middle and higher levels.
The middle level positions were for the role of administrative technician, while the higher level positions were for basic professionals in various specialties such as: Administration, Systems Analysis (Development and Support), Architecture, Archiving, Librarianship, Social Communication, Accounting, Law, Economics, Engineering, and Psychology.
The selection process was organized by the Cesgranrio Foundation and included objective and essay exams, both of eliminatory and classificatory nature.
