The Entrepreneurial Grant Program Will Offer 130,000 Spots to Encourage Entrepreneurship in the State of São Paulo, with Grants Worth R$ 1,000 and Training Courses
The government of São Paulo has the Entrepreneurial Grant Program. This program offers grants worth R$ 1,000, which are paid in two installments of R$ 500 each, to the unemployed, informal workers, or MEI (Individual Microentrepreneur) to invest in their businesses.
Candidates interested in receiving the grant offered by the Entrepreneurial Grant Program must participate in a free entrepreneurship course from the Rapid Entrepreneurship program. This course is available both online and in person and has an average workload of 10 hours.

The Entrepreneurial Grant Program aims to support entrepreneurial action among the groups most affected during the pandemic, such as informal entrepreneurs in vulnerable situations in the State of São Paulo transitioning to the formal market, and it is also open to the unemployed. Therefore, the Entrepreneurial Grant is structured in three parts: entrepreneurial qualification course, formalization (MEI), and aid grant.

The R$1,000 grant is paid in two installments of R$500, on the 20th of each month, up to 60 days after the course is completed. The training is conducted through an entrepreneurship course from Sebrae, which includes business fundamentals to create or strengthen your enterprise and is divided into six modules. Finally, guidance is provided on formalization via MEI, which ensures access to rights such as retirement, maternity allowance, and sick pay.
The first installment of the grant will be paid to those who have 75% attendance in live courses and 80% in the online interactive space of “Rapid Entrepreneurship,” offered by Sebrae, and formalization with CNPJ in the State of São Paulo. Regarding the second installment of the grant, at the time of validation/release for payment, the MEI/CNPJ must be active.

Entrepreneurial Grant: What Are the Requirements and Where to Apply?
The requirements to express interest in receiving the Entrepreneurial Grant are to be at least 18 years old, be literate, live in the state of São Paulo, and be unemployed or an Individual Microentrepreneur. Women, Black, mixed-race, or indigenous individuals, youth aged 18 to 35, persons with disabilities, and members of low-income families have priority.

The results of the selected candidates will be communicated via email and SMS, and they will be able to participate in the course starting in November.
News: Entrepreneurial Grant Opens Spots for Delivery Riders
The Secretary of Economic Development of the State of São Paulo has decided to open 12,000 exclusive spots in the Entrepreneurial Grant program for delivery riders, who are professionals responsible for transporting products and services and must have a monthly family income of less than 3 minimum wages. This initiative is specific to delivery riders and is in partnership with Detran.SP.
The Secretary of Economic Development, Zeina Latif, stated that as the job market becomes increasingly demanding, there must be enhanced training and qualification for professionals, promoting entrepreneurship.
Applications will take place from September 1st to 18th, and the program will offer the same grant amount – R$ 1,000 – and the training course. The Government of the State of São Paulo is investing R$ 100 million in the project, aiming to support citizens, boost new enterprises, and encourage the recovery of small businesses.
