The First Electric Car Charging Station Has Just Arrived in the Country and Is Located in the Large City of São Paulo (SP). Offering Fast Charging, It Will Be Possible to “Fill the Tank” for R$ 80.
Brazilian drivers need to get used to the concept of charging stations or electric car charging stations. These locations are specifically designed for charging electric vehicles or plug-in hybrids, and therefore do not sell conventional fuels. Brazil gained its first charging station last Wednesday (7), and it is located in SP. Until then, electric car charging stations in Brazil were always located in other establishments, such as shopping parking lots, convenience centers, service stations on highways, or within conventional fuel stations.
Electric Car Charging Station Features Ultra-Fast Chargers
Equipped with ultra-fast chargers, the station in SP was developed through a partnership between the companies Vibra, 99, and EZVolt. At the location, it is possible to fully charge an electric car battery for less than R$ 80. The station is located at Rua Oiti, 72, in the Jardim Anália Franco neighborhood, and will operate from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The site offers four chargers, with a total of eight simultaneous charging points. The available plugs are of the CCS 2, Type 2, and Chademo types, which meet the needs of a significant number of electric and plug-in hybrid models available in the country. The first electric vehicle charging station in the country is equipped with the fastest public charger in SP, with a power of 200 kW, according to the responsible company.

Vibra Energy Comments on the Venture
According to Bernardo Kos Winik, executive vice president of B2B sales at Vibra, electromobility is becoming increasingly relevant in the logistics of companies, and this will be felt more and more in the country due to not only public policies but also social awareness.
The company will be one of the leaders in electric vehicle charging infrastructure, with a robust setup serving its customers. This is just the first of the fully electric stations that the company aims to open.
The charging station for electric cars was previously a conventional fuel station and was recently operated as a parking lot. Operating 24 hours, the site will feature a convenience store with a self-service restaurant, snack bar, and even a lottery outlet.
