The selection process will be online and blind, meaning candidates’ information is omitted until the last stage. The company aims to prioritize hiring black professionals and achieve 50% female representation in this process. Advanced knowledge of the English language will not be a prerequisite for the Specialist Trainee Program, nor will there be an age limit for candidates.

Specialist Trainee in Engineering and Geology 2022: Only candidates graduated in Geology and Engineering between March 2019 and March 2022; Interest in developing to occupy strategic and/or leadership positions that require technical depth within some areas of Vale (mining, port, railway, geotechnics, pelletizing); Systemic vision; Availability for relocation or travel; For some positions, intermediate English may be required; Agile mindset and alignment with Vale’s values and culture.

Global Trainee Program 2022: Candidates from all courses, including Engineering, graduated between October 2019 and March 2022*; Interest in developing to occupy strategic and/or leadership positions with a broad business perspective; Alignment with Vale’s values and culture; Strategic vision; Broad business insights; Agile mindset; Availability for changes or travel; Advanced/Fluent English.
