The Caoa-Chery Tiggo 5x Sport Is An Audacious Proposal For Those Looking For A Complete Urban SUV Without Spending A Fortune. Priced At R$ 125,990, It Comes Loaded With Style And Well-Equipped. But Does It Have What It Takes To Beat The Beloved T-Cross And New Creta?

Launched at the end of 2023, the Caoa-Chery Tiggo 5x Sport quickly carved out a space in the Brazilian market. It stands out for its robust appearance, embedded technology, and powerful engine at a price that challenges competitors. Equipped with a 1.5 turbo engine delivering 150 hp and a 9-speed simulated CVT, the SUV promises agile and efficient performance.

Its comfort features are a major highlight: leather-wrapped seats, digital air conditioning (albeit single-zone), a steering wheel with height and depth adjustment, and even an electrically adjustable driver’s seat. All this at a competitive price, while models like the T-Cross and the new Creta cost considerably more.

Why Is It So Desired?

With a 1.5 turbo engine delivering 150 hp, CVT transmission, and a competitive price of R$ 125,990, the caoachery tiggo 5x sport promises space, comfort, and ample technology – is it better than the t-cross and the new creta?
Soft-touch materials in some areas add a touch of sophistication, something rare in SUVs in this price range. Ambient lighting, adjustable in various colors, enhances the feeling of a more premium vehicle, while steering wheel controls and an integrated multimedia system make the experience practical and connected.

With a length of 4.33 meters and a wheelbase of 2.63 meters, the Caoa-Chery Tiggo 5x Sport offers interior space that rivals the largest in its segment. The finish is surprising: even with rigid plastics, the look is sophisticated, with chrome details and adjustable ambient lighting. For families, the 340-liter trunk is sufficient, surpassing models like the Jeep Renegade.

Its differentiators continue with technology: digital dashboard, electronic parking brake, break hold, and a modern multimedia system. It is an SUV that, when compared to the T-Cross and new Creta, impresses with its cost-benefit ratio.

What’s Missing?

Of course, the Caoa-Chery Tiggo 5x Sport also has its limitations. It does not feature a panoramic sunroof or more advanced driving assistants found in top-of-the-line versions of competitors like the new Creta. Furthermore, fuel consumption, averaging 6.1 km/l in the city and 10.4 km/l on the highway (ethanol), may be a concern for those prioritizing efficiency.

Better Than T-Cross And New Creta?

In terms of price, the Caoa-Chery Tiggo 5x Sport is practically unbeatable. For R$ 125,990, it offers more standard features than entry-level versions of the T-Cross and new Creta, which easily exceed R$ 140,000. The T-Cross, for instance, has a 1.0 turbo engine producing 128 hp and falls short in power, while the new Creta, although sophisticated, costs much more to provide the same level of comfort and technology.

If the goal is to have a complete SUV for less, the Caoa-Chery Tiggo 5x Sport is a strategic choice and, for many, a more appealing option.

The Caoa-Chery Tiggo 5x Sport positions itself as one of the best cost-benefits in the market, with attributes that make it more attractive than many SUVs in the R$ 130,000 range. Those looking for a well-equipped car, with good interior space and solid performance, should put it on their test-drive list. And against the T-Cross and new Creta, the challenge is real: the competitive price makes the Tiggo 5x Sport shine as a practical and intelligent choice.
